It's 3rd and goal near the one. Josh Allen is your QB and you can salt the game away and you put Josh in the shotgun. Dumb! It was a OC out-smarting himself. If you wanted to get creative, lineup for the tush push and have Josh bootleg. Better yet go big, and let Davis or Josh run behind Anderson and Knox. It was a bad call not to run QB sneak there. You're right. I'd have run it, and then if it failed to score, I'd have hurried to the line and done it again. Two tush pushes in a row from the 1 was almost certain to score. Bad call by Brady. HOWEVER.... That was arguably the only bad call in an otherwise elite game for Joe Brady. The variety of runs that they used, the sequencing and layering of the passing game, the way they had the Lions defense on its heels all game long. All in all, it was a masterpiece of offensive gameplanning and playcalling. And oh, by the way, they scored 48 points against a top 10 scoring defense on the road, in front of a fired up home crowd, and have achieved the rare feat of scoring 30+ points for eight games in a row. So yeah, you're right, it was a dumb playcall. But if your major reaction after the game is to point out the one dumb playcall rather than the 4 quarters of brilliant playcalling, I don't know what to tell ya. No one's perfect. But Brady was about as close to it as an NFL OC can reasonably get yesterday, and one bad playcall doesn't change the fact that he deserves kudos for the job he's doing. 3 Quote

MJS Posted Monday at 10:01 PM Posted Monday at 10:01 PM Can we give Sean McDermott his kudos? Oh wait, I forgot the rules. Anything good that the team does is because of everyone else. Anything bad is because of only McDermott and nobody else. I'll get it right next time. 2 Quote

Eastport bills Posted Monday at 10:02 PM Posted Monday at 10:02 PM Joe Brady is aggressive and innovative. The motion and Josh’s threat to run make it so tough with our O-line protection being effective. It’s not luck that Josh hasn’t been sacked in a month. Brady’s play calling is keeping the lbs honest and that’s opening up Johnson and Cook for easy one on one opportunities. Ty Johnson was scary good yesterday. He catches everything and is nice change of pace runner. Having him in the backfield for a good portion of that game was Brady genius. Quote

Creates advantageous spacing for the offense and, as the video points out, sometimes puts the defense in a bind or limits what they can do. I, too, would be intrigued to know what teams are using it the most, and the most effectively, since Orlovsky mentioned that it was on the rise this season. Quote

Would you take the HC job in Cleveland? How about the Jets? Nope ... You need a real good quarterback or you are wasting your time and probably career. If I was Brady I keep my cushy job but ask for a substantial raise . Just Ask Dabol Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Posted Monday at 10:10 PM Great job as everyone has said, but if his ultimate goal is to run his own program, no amount of money will keep him here. I know Ben Johnson passed on the opportunity last year, but that’s relatively rare. Quote
Low Positive Posted Monday at 10:12 PM Posted Monday at 10:12 PM Why do people here think that Mike Brown will fire Zac Taylor? There is no way that will happen. First of all, he took the Bengals to the SB. Secondly, and most importantly, he's under contract for 4.5 million per year until the end of the 2026 season. Mike Brown would NEVER pay someone 9 million to not work for him. 1 Quote

Bottom line without sending extra rushers and getting pressure on Josh, they would get carved up. They had to play man but Brady got our backs on backup lbs. Quote

Brady would be a fool to leave the Bills next year. Yup, and as much as I want to give him props, Allen self generated about 21 points yesterday. It's always hard to tell with Josh where the credit goes. Quote

hondo in seattle Posted Monday at 11:03 PM Posted Monday at 11:03 PM I wasn't sold on Brady last year. And after the Ravens game, I'd seen enough and wanted him gone. But I'm eating my words now. We're averaging 31.8 ypg without star receivers or RBs and we've scored 40+ the past two games. Brady has schemed running attacks in games, good passing attacks in other games, and several games with excellent balance. Obviously, the offense runs through Josh but beyond him there seems to be a new hero every week. Brady is impressing me. Hope he sets the record for most consecutive 30 point games and gets no job offers anyway. Quote
