I called him yesterday to extend words of encouragement but he didn't pickup... I left a voicemail.

What does height have to do with anything?

There are plenty of NFL kickers that are my height (5'9") and are very accurate.

Sierra Zendejas... I knew it!

Might want to start looking at a new long snapper.  Seems a lot of his snaps have been off target this year and the other game against the Rams were he got pancaked on the block punt.

I'm always uneasy with him when he kicks it from the right hash mark.  I'm not sure what his numbers are now but here it is coming into the year since 2021.

I don't even want to mention it, but kicker issues almost always rear their head in the postseason.

Yeah.  It's definitely something this franchise hasn't ever experienced before.

That's it: from now on the Bills only run plays to the left of the field.

But seriously, they should sign the kicker the Chefs released last week, to the PS.

How long has this been a rule? I can honestly say I’ve never seen it

A while apparently.  Like I said, it happens so rarely that no one ever notices.

Quote

National Football League

Missed field goals attempted from the defending team's 20-yard line or closer result in the defense taking possession at their 20-yard line. Missed field goals attempted from behind the 20-yard line result in the opposing team taking possession at the spot of the kick. (From 1974–1993, the opposing team would take possession at the line of scrimmage, unless the kick was attempted from inside the 20-yard line, in which case the opposing team would take possession at the 20-yard line. Prior to 1974, a missed field goal was treated the same as a punt, and the kicking team could down the ball in the field of play if it did not cross the goal line; if the unsuccessful attempt crossed the goal line, it was a touchback, unless the defense ran the ball out of the end zone, which did not become legal until 1971.)

Tyler Bass, the 27th most accurate career kicker in NFL history, ahead of the disgusting Gary Anderson, Hall of Famer Morten Andersen, Vinatieri, Sea Bass, and Jay Feely. Only behind House Money by less than a percentage point. He is the 15th most career accurate of the currently-active kickers. Enough said.

I am usually the same way. My son and I can’t bear to watch and we leave the room on pretty much all field goals, while my other son reports back what happened.

Please tell me you named one of your sons Daniel.

Missed a 27 yarder against the Steelers in the playoffs

Thnx! I knew he had another one! I must have just looked up his regular season stats.

PATs are over 30 yards now... So not many chances at the "Chip Chip Shots."

2 in his career don't sound too terrible.  Sh*t happens...

He has always struggled from the right hash.  His ball has a natural draw.  Seems to fight it from the right.

Didn't he make a 48 yard XP in one of the last two games because one of our guys drew a PF for taunting.

Yeah.

Every once in a while a clunker gets thrown down.  That 48 yarder should get credited!
