I hope not, because that's the job I could see Joe Brady taking. I'm pulling for Cincy to finish 9-8 and miss out.

Yup could see this too just with the natural connections. I didn’t think he’d get one this off-season but the way the Bills O is rolling right now I think it’s a solid possibility

Why wouldn't they want Joe Brady who was Burrow's and Chase's OC at LSU and who already has a great relationship with them?

I think that’s possible too I just said that in another post as well. Brady will also likely come with a cheaper price tag

Not as bad as when Bruce Smith confronted Marv Levy for pulling players in a rout in Miami.

The Brown family isn’t firing anyone over this season. I guess all of you forgot how long they kept Marvin Lewis.

Did Marvin Lewis ever miss the playoffs though?  I could be wrong but that felt like a long string of first round exits

What happened to Lou Anarumo?  He had that Bengals D playing really well for so long...

I mean technically he kinda is...he has had the ball in his hand a lot of times to take the lead late in the 4th quarters and for all the stats he has put up has largely failed in those situations.  Scores a lot of points until you need him to and then he turns into Lamar in the playoffs this year.

Not saying your wrong but where are the stats that say he’s bad in the 4th quarter of close games?

The stats I’m seeing for the 4th quarter when the teams are within 7 points goes like this:

48/79/60.8%  669 yards  6 TD - 1 INT  30 first downs (38%)   108 passer rating

I keep saying the Bengals should pull out all the stops to get Ben Johnson it makes sense from both sides of the financials make sense.

I would typically say that the franchise QB always wins when their is a rift but the Bengals ownership does have a history of battling franchise QBs

I feel like Ben will go somewhere with a pretty good defense already built

A defense can be built, he is gonna be looking for a place that he believes has a franchise QB or one he can draft in his first year

They can be built but that’s a bit of a risk with your head coaching career lol not a lot of guys get two chances and I’d be looking at cincy like ‘I could squeeze a little bit more effectiveness out of that offense maybe and still lose games’

youre basically leaving your head coaching career up to whoever you bring in for DC and the team is already really good at what you specialize in.  Maybe he jumps at the chance if it opens haha idk seems a little risky though

I honestly want them to sneak in and come to buffalo in the wildcard or division Rd. And I want to see Zach Taylor's stupid face when Allen throws his 5th TD pass and buffalo is winning 49-10

No you don't.  The Bengals are still a dangerous team.  They've been running up and down the field on everyone and their losses are barely losses to a lot of good teams.  They are having a frustrating year, but I have a feeling that I'd rather play about three or four teams that will end up making the playoffs rather than the Bengals.

Id say it’s a much bigger risk not having a QB that can move the ball

They can have Brady for 2 1st round picks.

They don't need to offer any picks...he would be getting a promotion.

I don't see "send me to Seattle." I see "I'm pissed" and when Taylor responds him saying "eff that". Then I do think there might be a "trade me" in there, but I don't see any mention of Seattle.

Agreed, I dont see anything about Seattle.

Joe starts with "It's f$^&king embarassing", then "f%^&k that" and "it's bullsh!t"... But I dont see any "trade me to seattle".

I think Cincy has a shot at getting in still. They're at home against the Browns and Broncos and end on the road at Pitt.

Denver is at LAC, at Cincy, and home vs KC -- all tough matchups.

The Chargers are probably all set because their final two games are against NE and the Raiders. They just need to win one. If they end up 9-8 (with one of those losses being to the Broncos this week), they'll have the head-to-head vs Cincy and a split vs Denver.

The Steelers might not need that final game, but I'm guessing there's a decent chance they will depending on the outcome of the Ravens game and what Houston does. If they don't need it, it'll be easier for Cincy.

Anyway, it's conceivable that Cincy wins all three and Denver loses all three. The Chargers will be motivated this week because there is a real chance that they can clinch a playoff spot with a win.

Miami might have a chance too - they have the Niners at home and end with two on the road vs bad teams: Cleveland and the Jets. And the Colts have a path to 9-8 because of their ridiculously easy schedule: home vs TN, road vs NYG, and home vs Jax.

If all five of them end up 9-8--a real possibility!--I have no idea who the final two entries will be based on tiebreaker rules.

(It's also conceivable that Baltimore could end up 9-8, but that's not going to happen. They'll beat the Browns at home in the final game for sure.)

They were a team that expected to contend for a championship and are sitting at 6-8 on the outside of the playoffs.

They already have imploded.

They are still 6-8.  I don’t think the fact that lost a few one score games really means anything

Apparently this happened because Taylor ripped into him for scoring again when he was supposed to run the clock out?

Bengals may implode from the inside after this season if they aren't careful.

I have a lot of respect for the Bengals because of the class their coach, players, and fans showed when Hamlin got hurt.

And yet I confess to a certain sadistic pleasure when watching our rivals fall apart.

Ownership doesnt want to have to pay for 2 coaches, they are cheap
