Well, the assignment of announcer teams to games is typically made weeks before, so I wouldn't read anything into that.

 

Miami and SF are not making the playoffs. Most of the country would rather see Josh, especially given how the Bills have been playing recently. Plus, for a weak slate of games this week, the flex gives CBS more protection to switch viewing areas to other games should one become a blowout.

It’s a division game so it probably won’t be a blowout, but I can’t imagine the Patriots in their shape making this a very good game for national exposure

Well here in SW Florida, CBS labors under the delusion that people would rather watch the Dolphins.  Probably not true, but none the less I am stuck with that game.  Will have to be creative.

Weddings are a dime a dozen. My advice is consider the game unless you’re the one getting married but if you are I would question your choice of brides who would put her wedding above the Bills. Either way, 42% of marriages end in divorce. The Bills meanwhile are 14 point favorites.
