They likely hoped Niners/Dolphins would mean something but it likely doesn't and the Bills game has juice with Allen as the draw, especially if KC loses on Saturday and the 1 seed becomes a real possibility.

Night game.  Brr...  Probably gonna be -8C at kickoff.  And that's before the inevitable wind.

This is a classic trap game. Bills struggled against the Pats last year and they are better this year. I feel good about it, but I think it is very difficult to play the same team twice in like 3 weeks, especially if it is a division opponent. That said, rookie QBs have no looked good against McDermott, so I think Maye could struggle.

While not a prime time start, I think it still will result in more tickets than usual being on the secondary market. This will likely have some downward pressure on prices. The weather forecast will also contribute to this. All well and good, as it should result in a younger and lively crowd - a great atmosphere for another national TV slot.

That's one response... The other is "oh, I get to tailgate for 7 hours now?  Awesome!"

haha. yeaaaaah wife wouldn’t like that too much I’m afraid.  Three hours is plenty for me.

It's simple.  The Buffalo Bills are America's team.  Jim Nantz said so.  "The winner of this game (Bills vs Lions is America's team) They get better ratings than other teams.  CBS is trying to squeeze out ratings however they can even when the Bills are up against a crappy opponent.

I've already started tailgating for Sunday, and I just walked in the door from Detroit.

Yep Allen and this offens has been pure entertainment and with the Chiefs close and Mahomes "injury" there's some interest for the 1 seed.

Right amount of interest to move a game, too much and a network doesn't let you touch it.

Which one???

I think the league rules are at least 10 days warning for a flex. This can't be next weekend I don't think.

Plus week 18 games are all TBD in order to schedule them week of for playoff implications.

Got my officious notice from the Bills themselves… 2 hours ago!

CBS has a monster in 17… like King Kong/ Godzilla… plus the Mafia angle!

They are beating it like a rented mule to the finish line!

Why?  For the love of God leave our 1pm games the hell alone!!

I hate it too. The price of being an attraction that is fun to watch, I’m afraid. People want to see at least one of the teams as opposed to some other dog games where both teams suck. I seem to recall the other options were not too appealing, and the Josh Show is hot.

Consider how bad the Bills have seemed to play between 1-2 pm this year I'm ok with it.

I'm serious that particular time window has been strangely awful:

Season opener vs the Cardinals

1st half Texans

1st half Dolphins home

1st half Titans

Major slump vs the Colts after a hot start

I can't explain it but a lot of the worst play we've seen this year has been in that hour window and then it was like a switch was flipped

Huh.  Interesting.  I have to think it's mostly coincidence, but still interesting.

As for the time change, I don't like it but at least it wasn't moved to be a true night game.  (Sunset is 4:44pm that day so it will be a night game from a certain point of view.)

Were those all first half of the season?  I don’t think the offense had quite found its footing yet early on.  Ah dolphins was week 9 that was a weird game that really swung on that fluky INT that should’ve been a td

One thing about our current stadium, it looks awesome at night.

It always impresses me how good the current stadium looks in the background in drone videos of the new stadium
