Chiefs, 49ers, Rams, Lions - Can the Bills play at the same level 4 games in a row in the playoffs?

We are probably going to see the same caliber of teams in the playoff like we saw in the last 4 games. And as it happened, 2 at home, 2 on the road, kind of like a #2 seed team's path to a super bowl.

The current version of Allen led offense looked to be more consistent in output. Defense is the question mark. Are they able to somehow keep a lid on the can, even though it maybe popped multiple times but not being completely blown off like in the Rams game?

If we play like this on offense in PO, there is like 10% chance max we lose any game, and that is only if our defense plays bad and/or is injured too much, opposing offense plays to its limits AND McD makes some serious mistakes - basically a Rams game.

Allen, Brady, OL and weapons are basically unstoppable right now.

So long as it remains healthy, the offense appears poised to handle playoff football.

The defense -- as it always seems to be in the playoffs under Sean McDermott -- is the issue.

We just saw them give up 40+ points in back-to-back weeks. And yes, I understand the circumstances of injuries and going against great offenses. Nevertheless...

Can the defensive line consistently generate pressure? Can Matt Milano round back into his pre-injury form? Can our starting safeties and corners stay on the field?

On top of that, the only other thing I could see being an issue is bad, snowy weather, which could neutralize the playing field and somewhat neuter the Bills offense (49ers game notwithstanding).

Allen and company are in charge of the most explosive offense in team history as of right now, averaging 31.8 points a game ahead of the 31.3 pace of 2021...11 games with more than 30 points out of 14 played. I think they absolutely can do it based on how Allen plays in the playoffs.

The Bills, despite the D allowing points, are playing some DAMN good football.  Allen is in his prime and it shows.  He is masterful at his craft, and no one is better than him at it currently.  He is playing incredibly poised and confident.  It's apparent on his face.  Just seems to calm and in control.

Mahomes is a poor man's Josh Allen.  I want them in the Championship.  Then I want to shut up the Eagles wretched fan base.

This is our best shot yet.

You are a master of understatement.

These lunatics are now approaching Kgun territory, imo.

Agreed. Historic. Not unreasonable to argue that they're the best offense in team history.

I remain worried about a frigid and snowy Buffalo playoff game neutralizing their passing game advantage. I know, I know: the 49ers game.

Still, I can't shake the visions of Isiah Pacheco and Kareem Hunt or Derick Henry and Lamar Jackson running wild, our pass rushers failing to impact Mahomes or Jackson whatsoever due to bad footing in winter weather a la the Bengals game, and Josh Allen lasers bouncing off of frozen Bills WRs' fingers.

Clearly, I have a bad case of LBFT: Lifelong Bills Fan Trauma.

This is exactly how the chiefs looked their first superbowl run.  Also, the defense looked pretty darn good against the best offense in the league until the injury situation got unsustainable

while they look similar on the stats sheet, that rams game was an absolute disaster without having a valid excuse and I thought we rebounded quite a bit

I hear that; I really do. But the circumstances make me much less afraid of weather than I might otherwise be.

It's not just Allen's arm either; both Cook and Davis have shown the ability to be mudders and their passcatching corps is loaded with mentally tough players with good hands.

Weather won't make their offense better overall, but I do think it can make it better relative to other offenses.

And I know it's not PC, but over the years we've taken to calling it BBFS around here; Battered Bills Fan Syndrome

Exactly. The Lions were going to score points. It was inevitable. Just like it was Buffalo were. The fact we held them to less missing our starting Safety duo is a testament to that coaching staff and the DLine actually playing better.

They said at the start of the broadcast that McDermott said to them it the Rams performance was “embarrassing” by that unit. Very nice of him to take ownership it was lacking.

I know it was actually 3 starters missing on the secondary but Douglas, to be fair, has had some seriously rough play this year.

Overall, for what was missing and who they were facing, they played great.
