So is OJ…

Barry, Walter, Jim Brown. it's certainly a conversation.

At DE it's Bruce or Reggie end of story

Jim Kelly should be up there

No he shouldn’t. He was very intentionally left off the list. He was great. The idea of Jim Kelly is much better than the player. He was a great player in his era. He was, in his era, what Goff or Hurts is now. He was a pro bowl guy but never once considered the “best in the business.” He won a lot. He belongs in the HOF. He’s a top 25ish all-time QB. As a player, he is not in the conversation with those 3. Honestly, there are multiple guys that are between 3 and Kelly.

No position on the field is more important than QB.  They touch the ball on every offensive play unless you're talking a direct snap to someone else.

Josh Allen is the Bills ALL TIME leader in TDs in his 6th full season at QB and has not only re-written Bills record books, he's creating NFL history.

As great as Bruce Smith was, there's only so much a DE can do.  He missed good amount of  time with a knee injury/surgery and the Bills were still winning.

Take Josh off this team and what do you have? I think that about sums it up.

As a individual doing something important in football history. OJ.

As a Buffalo team icon. And damn good accomplishments. Jim Kelly.

Sure Josh is good. But any QB in the league can throw 280 yards with these pansy ass rules, tiny shoulder pads, wussy basketball shorts style football pants era.

That's arguable, but nah, I don't think so. Top four or five, though.

Gimme Payton and Brown as top two.

Absolutely no one was better than OJ during his peak 1973-76.  Unfortunately, his peak was more abbreviated than it should have been because of injuries and the criminal incompetence of the Bills organization…

Goff and Hurts don't hold a f_____ candle to a man who went to 4 SBs in a row.  Kelly IS the Bills. He is THE most important Bill in history, next to Bill Bradley ( I'm just kind of adding  him for his so called life accomplishments. I'm assuming  he was under center when they beat San Diego. Even though Washington has been nothing more than a criminal to the public lol).. and OJ.

I was 12 when OJ left Buffalo... But I saw him a lot as a kid...

I think I saw just about every game Bruce played as a Bill on TV... I certainly did not miss many...

I've seen every game of Josh's career...

With all due respect to Bruce, it's not really close IMHO...

It's already Josh... B-)

Nostalgia is a seductive liar.

Allen has already re-written Bills record books in his 6th full season at QB.  Not only just Bills records, NFL records.

Jim Kelly was a great QB who was the right guy to run the Bills no-huddle.  He wasn't the best QB in the league.  He was the right guy for the Bills at the right time.

Having said that, Kelly did not have anywhere near the talent Josh Allen has and has already proven on the field.

Kelly was surrounded by HOFers.  Josh is not. At least not yet.

Josh Allen is this franchise.

In the 70s a dominant RB was much more important than they are now.

But QBs still reigned supreme.  A RB wasn't bringing a team back from 3 scores down.

And QB stats are extremely inflated today to the point where lots of mediocre QBs have better lifetime stats than many Hall of Fame QBs...

In adding to the conversations, FWIW there are 92 first ballot HOFers in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

Jim Kelly, Bruce Smith, and OJ Simpson were all inducted in their first year of eligibility.

I think Josh Allen might actually be the greatest all-around football player ever.

He’s the greatest Bill of all time, no doubt, but he has ways to go before I say that..

1.) Allen

2.) Bruce

3.) Kelly

In my lifetime, Barry Sanders is hands down the best RB I've ever seen.  He did things ive never seen any RB do before on film or otherwise.

He was a unique talent who happened to be on a team that didn't have much else other than him for most of his career.

Man you are gonna die for the Kelly is Goff-tier take.

its accurate but that’s never stopped anyone

Allen has already surpassed Kelly as the best QB in Bills history.

He surpassed him in 2021 tbh.

Kelly is still a wall of fame/hall of Famer and has some pelts on the wall that no one will likely ever do, but to win a football game in 2024 or 1994, there’s no contest tbh.

No, it's called I have eyes and self awareness. Josh wouldn't last a  second in 1985/95. Todays players B word about tiny bruises and hang nails.

Lol at saying a pro QB that went to 4 SBs didn't have better/comparable talent. QBs run past the line of scrimmage more often now because they know  the league made more rules to make it easier lol.

It doesn't have crap to do with not accepting the future. All jocks today are weak pussies compared to their forefathers. In ALL sports. Waaaaa don't go over 100 pitches... Scamper up to 3 point line, shoot. Run back the other way. QBs will be wearing flags in no time.

As I said earlier, rewriting record books isn't hard now. It's a weak comparison with new pansy rules.

When Allen gets one SB. Then he can be part of the conversation.

( I love sports arguments lol. Their circular, pointless and have no real answer)

He hasn't passed him in anything but pointless regular season ,pansy rules stats. :)

I watched those 90's Bills. Kelly was good but he isn't Allen. Bigger, stronger, faster and the athletes around trying to get to him are bigger stronger and faster. Not even close...#17 by a landslide
