Can Bruce Smith evade the fastest, strongest players in the league(today's players are bigger, stronger, faster) and throw a 70 yard missile on a rope while on the run? No ........ I remember a Chandler catch as he was falling out of bounds but managed to keep the tips of his toes inbounds. I searched for a video of the catch on youtube, but couldn't find it. This isn't the catch I remember but it's pretty close. Edited December 16 by GASabresIUFan 1 Quote

That's not bias, that's simply something never seen before in the history of the NFL. He is the most productive player on a per game basis of all-time. It's not even close. It's Allen I'm so torn. JK means a lot to me personally, and completely changed the culture and path of the Bills when he arrived. Quote
ColoradoBills Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Lots of good reasons to go with Bruce, Jimbo, and others but I have to say in my 60+ years of fandom it's Josh Allen. 1 1 Quote

Josh doesnt have that luxury. Bruce would also schedule his surgeries so he would have to spend as little time at training camp as possible, and when he didn't have a surgery he'd hold out anyway. And then he'd come back and make a ridiculous play in his first game and you'd be like, yeah... he's worth the money and the hassle. He just was. Except when he didn't get his flu shot. 😡 As great as Bruce was.... it's Josh and it's not close. Seems he's doing something literally every game that no quarterback has ever done before. We are blessed. 1 Quote
Bills Fan in MD Posted December 16 Posted December 16 It's still Bruce. He was a game changer for more than a decade. Josh very well may get there but it's still too soon. 1 1 Quote

Make it make sense. Allen does the most important thing in the NFL, score touchdowns, better than anyone who has ever lived. Personally I find that statement to be absurd. He was DPOY in 1990 and 1996 an 8x 1st team All-Pro and 3x 2nd teamer. I could see Allen down the road, even though they played in different eras where passing is vastly different. But Bruce remains given the career length and dominance. 2 hours ago, dorquemada said: Without Moorman who would we have put on the Media Guide for that long dark period Out of his own end zone no less where you could have, as a ST holder, your name on the Jumbotron. If memory serves, it was from the 2009 Cleveland game Buffalo lost 6-3 where Derek Anderson completed 2 passes for the Browns. Ughh. What marketing genius thought up that angle? Quote

If you are starting a franchise and get to select one player, its not even a decision. Not just because of importance, but also degree of difficulty. QB is arguably the most difficult position to play in any sport. Quote

If Josh's career continues on its current trajectory he's a no-doubt first ballot HOFer. I don't need to see more to know that. Josh Allen’s impact on the game is undeniable. His combination of athleticism, arm strength, and leadership has already etched his name in the NFL record books. If he maintains this level of play, while adding postseason success, a first-ballot Hall of Fame nod feels inevitable. Still, the journey ahead will define just how high his legacy can soar. Quote
Orlando Buffalo Posted December 16 Posted December 16 For the moment it is Bruce, who was dominant for a long time, 12 years of double digit sacks in Buffalo. Josh will pass him most likely but Josh only has 5 years of domination. I would expect in 2029 Josh will be the GOAT Bill and a top 5 QB all time. Quote
