The one scenario I want to avoid is the Bills playing their starters all three games to end the season …. But still miss out on the one seed …

Once the Chiefs win on Wednesday, that won't be an issue. They will sit the last game of the year.

Knowing them they’ll find a way to lose that one to keep the Bills interested

Against this Pittsburgh team? Yeah, I don't see it.

I do NOT want to play the Ravens.

The only thing I am telling myself is that the Ravens are usually a much different team on the road. They usually roll people at home. So if we lock up the 2 seed, they have to come to Buffalo at least. Still not ideal to have to play them in Divisional round but being in Buffalo is definitely a plus.

We got zero help today, and after another 3 TD performance, more will be flocking to the Lamar MVP talk.

I disagree.  We have increased the likelihood of getting at least the #2 seed.

On top of that, Pittsburgh will be highly motivated Wednesday against the Chiefs since they win their division if they win out.  And if Denver loses to the Bengal's, which is very possible, the KC/Denver game at Mile High will be make or break for the Broncos.  I never saw the Chiefs being beat by an average Houston team at Arrowhead.  The two losses the Bills need from KC were always going to come at Pitt & Denver, if they came at all.

Not sure if the Bills be locked in in second. Even with a win tomorrow, tonight's winners from Steelers-Ravens could still take two if the Bills lose in weeks 17 and 18. So week 17 will still be required, then week 18 can be treated as a bye, if the Chiefs secure one.

Win the next two home games against bad football teams and the Bills lock up the #2 seed.  Then the road game at NE is a chance to rest anyone with even a hangnail.

The INT was hideous and he was so lucky not to turn over the ball via a fumble in the 1st.

Henry gets like 200 yards and I’m not sure he even touched the ball in the redzone besides running it in himself

This is exactly right. Never thought KC would lose this home game- even if they had rested Mahomes  ( high ankle sprain my arse..) and started Wentz.

Exactly.  Just need to beat whichever team we face each week.  If we’re truly the best team, doesn’t matter if it’s the Broncos or Ravens.

If KC wins on Wednesday, we have no shot at the one seed. We should still play starters against the Jets though. Can't risk being rusty when the real season begins.

The big question is what they will do week 18. Assuming Lamar plays out of his mind against Houston. And we end in NE. I know it's team first. But Allen sitting while Lamar beats up on Cleveland, may sway MVP voters. Again, team first. But you know the organization wants Allen to win MVP. As most fans do too.

Correct, IF KC beat the Steelers the best we could do is the #2 seed. To lock up the #2 seed we have to play to win against the Jets because if the Ravens win out they would take 2 and we would be 3.

Allen will play a quarter or even a half against the pats in that last game.  IMO though if we have the #2 seed locked up Allen is the MVP no matter what Jackson does the rest of the way.

Unlikely. If anything what they saw was Lamar is a massive beneficiary of Henry who is the actual MVP of that team.

There is nothing overly impressive about what Lamar did today. There was a lot impressive about what Henry did.

Actual MVP voters seem to have been leaning strongly toward Allen and his resume built through the last month in particular. I don’t think it’s as close as a meaningless season ender making a huge move in the race. As for Allen sitting, he’ll play as long as seeding is in doubt. After that he may just make a preseason style cameo appearance in a week 18 game.

Wentz wasn’t winning this. It took a solid effort from Mahomes and two turnovers to win. Stroud’s good.

I'm not sure Wentz loses that game, if we hold the turnovers constant.

Agree with this.  I was totally on board with a Ravens win today just so Pittsburgh comes out blazing on Christmas day against the Chiefs.  They’ve lost 2 in a row. Division and seed on the line. I expect them to be very physical vs KC.  Tomlin won’t let them lose 3 in a row without some serious fight.

I always thought Denver had a great chance to win that last game. Payton and the Broncos want to beat KC in the worst way. That would be great if Denver needs the game to make the playoffs. I think they will show up big at home.
