Weird about Ankou. I thought whenever he played he was pretty effective

I would have kept him over someone like Jefferson

Agree. We've screwed him over so many times. He's a decent player.

There are 31 other teams. I doubt he sees himself as getting screwed. More like grateful to continue to be paid to play the game.

That's should be a qualification. Two contracts with Buffalo, minimum. Or something really amazing in the one.

Antoine Winfield was a MUCH better Bill and I wouldn't have him in either.

two contracts is a great criterion.

On top of that, Wiley always rubbed me the wrong way. He thought he was way too good for Buffalo. The reality too is he wasn’t even a good player. Had one good (not even great) season in his entire career.

As far as Herbert, yeah very underwhelming. I think it was before last year and some pundit had him as the 3rd best QB in the league, ahead of Josh. We won't be seeing stupidity like that anymore. Whatever it is that makes a QB great, Herbert doesn't have it which is interesting, considering he's arguably Josh's equal athletically.

Herbert is truly a physically gifted game manager.

Herbert is big, strong, has a rocket arm and good straight line speed. What he lacks is agility and vision. Those last two traits are perhaps the most underrated traits Allen has.

Perhaps. Admittedly, I'm an Ankou fan.

The next time Herbert wins a big game will be his first.  If we get the 2 seed I'd much prefer the Chargers to the Broncos.  I believe Harbaugh will get LA turned around but for now they just reek of the same fail to meet potential stench that they always have.

Hi,

I'm going to this game and want to experience a tailgate for the first time ever but unfortunately my friends do not like football. I want to verify what I've read about crashing other people's tailgates.

  1. Wear Bills gear
  2. Look for friendly Bills fans
  3. Bring bribes of beer and treats but especially beer, to trade for food
  4. Arrive ~9AM for the 4:25pm game.  Have patience for parking
  5. If there isn't action where you are at, head to Hammers lot
  6. See 1-3

Any other hints? Any wild inaccuracies?

I was clueless and bought parking at lot 7 but in my defense I didn't know that you could reserve parking at non-Bills lots.  I'm planning on getting beer in cans for safety.

its amazing how we were still competitive against the pats all those black cloud years.

we usually had a pretty good defense and some star players just no qb and no name coaching.

i would think this would play out diff but u never know...

im buckled in and ready

No DE notched more sacks on Tom Brady than Aaron Schobel.

For the Jets, if we were playing the Jets.

Are we sure those are the Bills' players in those jerseys? It's kind of hard to tell with their helmets on, and they way they were moving, it looked like it could have just been some guys they picked up from in front of the Home Depot.

Will this be the week we learn what this Bills defense is really about?

Hearing a lot about how the last two weeks are unsustainable for the Bills D, especially when you get into the playoffs. Also hearing about how the last two weeks weren't necessarily an accurate picture of the defense, since it was against a Rams offense playing a perfect game and operating at an elite level, and a Lions team that was playing largely from behind.

Not sure I buy that. I have my concerns.

This week the defense should  have no problems against a below average Pats**** offense. But we also know that we split with them last year against a terrible QB, and both games against them were close. It should still be a Bills win—but how close it is really depends on the Bills defense. Are they really as bad as we've seen over the past couple of weeks? Or was it really just the context of those two games?

We'll see...

I dom't think the defense this game will necessarily be representative of what we will see against good teams come playoff time - I'm hoping they do a lot of crazy simulated pressures, stunts, blitzes from crazy places etc that they wouldnt normally do as much to try to confuse the hell out of the rookie QB

Bad take. The Bills have given him numerous chances and he obviously hasn’t proven he deserves to stay on the 53 or PS.

My armchair evaluations are obviously at odds with the pros on our team. You're correct about that.
