It sucks how that dude purposely laid out to fall with his full weight on Josh

Not much choice, imo.

He's lunging to make a tackle in pursuit when Allen goes to the turf to stay inbounds; stopping short of the sideline is sort of what put the guy on top of him.

Let's keep an eye on that injury report on Wednesday to see if his shoulder is listed. I didn't like him running at that point in the game.

We should just run every play and win like the Cheats did to us a few years back. A little payback.

I dunno - to me it's the way he puts his arms out in front of him to literally put all his weight on Josh under him as he goes to the ground.  To me that's not a natural response to falling to the ground - it's a purposeful move to maximize trauma

I like his game, too.  But nothing about what he's doing right now is above the expectations anyone had for him, or even shows that he'll be a top 5 or 10 QB.

It's just the way they're talking about him in New England.  But I get that fans can be exuberant about finding a potential franchise QB.  I remember hyping Tuel & many others.

Josh, 12 games:

169/320   2074  10td 12int  52.8%

89  631   7.09ypc  8td

Maye, 10 games:

191/279   1898  12td  9int  68.46%

42   359   8.5ypc   2td

There’s talent there and I think that he’s around the expectation, maybe a shade below it.

Id say the talent level was not far off the same, Josh had a slight edge with Shady and Charles Clay is pretty much Hunter Henry level.

The difference comes down to the team as a whole. Our defense in 2018 was decent. That Pats is a dumpster fire lol

I know Maye went 3rd overall and Josh 7th but that doesn’t really matter. They both were the third QB in their respective drafts.

shouldn’t say dumpster fire as they do have some nice pieces in the secondary*

They do that to show the ref they're not trying to drive the QB into the turf.

I'm sure he didn't make as much effort as he could have to roll off of him, but when Allen stops short he's going to land directly on him no matter what he does.

In New England, the Drake Maye hype is kind of ridiculous.

He has shown some nice ability so far, but we knew he had skills coming into the league.  He has really done nothing yet to warrant some of the glowing praise he's received (imo).

This is a game where McD and Babich can absolutely dictate and try to make it a nightmare for the rookie QB - simulated pressure, disguised looks pre-snap, blitzes from anywhere

Sometimes these "easy" games turn out to be a pain in the ass. Next thing you know the Bills are in a close one in the 4th quarter.

Of all the QBs that have gotten the “Josh Allen comparison” , I felt like it actually made sense with Drake Maye.

Talent, work ethic, personality… he feels a lot like a poor man’s Josh. If he was in the NFC, I’d root for the kid.

Well, the Pats are going to go 2 ways about this.......

1) throw the kitchen sink at the Bills and try to be the spoiler

2) throw nothing at the Bills, hope to preserve the health of their players and hope for better draft position

So, in the end, while their fans are enjoying their fois gras in their pre-packed lunches, we'll be drinking beer, jumping through tables and beating the pants off the poor Pats (maybe yell a few obscenities at their fans for good measure).

I think the pats have probably moved on to the roster evaluation phase with mayos job reportedly being safe and the jets will probably throw the kitchen sink at us cuz nobody has anything to lose

Bone chilling cold, could!

I know the Unicorn & Bills Mafia are a HUGE get for CBS, but delaying this game to 4:25 is brain dead!

it will be about 10F with wind chill!

Not at all concerned about the pathetic Patsies!

VERY concerned about potential injury to stars on a SB bound team!

I haven't really paid any attention to the Pats this year.  Just went over to their boards.   They have so much hate for Mayo.  Is he really that bad?

I don't know how he can be evaluated at this point.  They really have almost no talent.
