The Bills beat the Lions because of you... (superstition/karma reasons)

How did your actions yesterday help the Bills to win?  Something you ate?  Did you change your shirt at halftime?  Went shopping instead of watching the game?  I’ll start…

 

I missed the entire first quarter.  Started watching in the second quarter when it was 21-7, and immediately the Lions scored to make it 21-14.  It was close, but I started doing my usual routine of playing games on my phone and only looking up at the game from time to time, and it worked.  Bills win! You're welcome.

Every game that was broadcast where i live, showed the Steelers game and not one of the stations showed the Bills/Lions game (14 different stations all played the Steelers game)...........that's a true story right there.

I made the mistake of booking a surprise trip for my wife's 65th Bday.  When we got to where we were going and I put the game on she said "weren't not sitting in the room watching the game on my birthday are we? (She's from Philly and not a FB fan)."  I said "no, of course not" and we went had tea and cookies, dinner, etc.  So my not getting to see the game was why the Bills won.......I think.

wore my lucky bills shirt and in the 4th quarter my daughter was watching with me and cheering when we got the points to lock it up. also she was playing with the Bills people mini toys.

I didn't feel good about this game.  I forgot to wash (the loss out of) my Coleman shirt.   BUT, I finally found the black with black logo Bills fitted low profile hat that Ive been looking for for months.   They're never in stock.   I wore my new lid for the game.   Go Bills!

The obvious reason is because I wore my Squirrel Winters t-shirt - which I didn't wear for the Rams game.

 

The less obvious reason is because I was at the supermarket earlier in the day wearing a Bills hoodie. Grabbed something off the shelf, turned around and there was a guy walking past with a Lions sweatshirt . I can't remember ever seeing someone in Lions gear in my area. I said something like 'Oh no, not the Lions!". He chuckled and said good luck, I told him to enjoy the game and we went our separate ways.  At the time I had no idea whether it was a good or bad omen. An hour or so later I was a a different saw a guy in a Bills hoodie (not a common occurrence in my area and gave him the obligatory Go Bills and I was feeling better.

Got a babysitter and wife and I watched the game at a local bar (first time doing this).  Good things happened for the Bills every time I had a beer in front of me.  I noticed this late in the second quarter and I went hard the second half.

Yesterday, instead of my normal text to Josh where I would say " GO BILLS " I texted " Do it for Hailee! ".

 

A few minutes later Josh responded " Who is this?".

 

I knew then, we would win!
