TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th Posted Monday at 12:49 PM Posted Monday at 12:49 PM (edited) Because the Chiefs, Steelers and Ravens all play on Wednesday (Christmas Day) during week 17 and the bills play the following Sunday.. . the bills will have the advantage of knowing the outcome of those games before they step foot on the field. If the following happens the bills will have the #2 seed locked up and may sit starters for 2 WHOLE WEEKS: #1 Kc Wins their next two games #2 Baltimore beats Pittsburgh but loses the following week against Houston. #3 Buffalo beats New England Edited Monday at 01:23 PM by TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th 5 1 2 Quote

Gregg Posted Monday at 01:02 PM Posted Monday at 01:02 PM The starters can't sit for that long. If the games mean nothing I could see the starters playing a couple of series and then getting pulled after that. 3 Quote

No thanks 8 1 Quote

Bills would be 12-3 and hold the tiebreaker over Pittsburgh for the #2 seed. 4 minutes ago, WNYFAN1 said: So risk a season-ending injury to Allen and a chance at the Superbowl to pad stats for the MVP? Steptide Posted Monday at 01:15 PM Posted Monday at 01:15 PM For some reason I just feel kc isn't gonna win their next 2 games. They're not just gonna beat up on the steelers. Browns defense was killing Mahomes, I can only imagine what the steelers d will do Quote

Even if all these happen, if the Steelers finish 12-5, with their only loss to KC, they'd win a tiebreaker with the Bills (Best win % in conference games). Need to finish a game ahead of PIT, otherwise, they're probably getting the tiebreaker. 4 minutes ago, TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th said: Yes. Mmmm maybe depends on how invested Texans and Broncos are in their games against the Chiefs. I think the Steelers will be, win or lose Saturday against Baltimore. The Texans just clinched their division. Could have a let-down game like the Bills clinching the division. They are guaranteed to host a playoff game. May have outside shot to move up to 2nd seed (unlikely) or 3rd seed (more realistic). What does a 3rd seed buys you instead of the 4th seed? The last game at Denver, everything might be sewed up by then. Quote

So what needs to happen is slightly more unlikely (i updated the original post): #1 Kc Wins their next two games #2 Baltimore beats Pittsburgh but loses the following week against Houston. #3 Buffalo beats New England Quote

Kelly to Allen Posted Monday at 01:25 PM Posted Monday at 01:25 PM All I care about is the 1 seed or creating our own bye week with the last game of the year, resting everyone and securing the 2 seed. Both options are basically the same. Quote
