hondo in seattle Posted December 16 Posted December 16 (edited) I didn't want to go to Buffalo either but wasn't given a choice - my mom gave birth there. Met an Indian Silicon Valley techie who went to school at UB. Said he'll always have a love for Buffalo because people there are truly different. Although he currently lives in the Bay Area and is thus a 49er fan, he's also a big Bills fan. Says it was unavoidable after 4 years at UB - mafia mania is joyous, contagious, and bonds people together in a unique way. And that the unpretentious, warm people taught him a lot about "the American Way." Goff doesn't know what he missed and, in retrospect, I'm happy my mom pushed me out where she did. We went on to have a stellar draft without him. I think we did ok... 1) Shaq Lawson 2) Reggie Ragland 3) Adolphus Washington 4) Cardale Jones 5) Jonathan Williams 6) Kolby Listenbee 6) Kevon Symour Holy crap. 3 Quote
TheFunPolice Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Yeah? Well we've won more games without him than with him! Quote
MiltonWaddams Posted December 16 Posted December 16 I’m not mad at the guy. I’m happy. Any event that led to the Bills becoming the home of Josh Allen is a great event. 1 Quote
gonzo1105 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 I mean I don’t think the Bills had a shot even if they were both interested Quote
Buffalo716 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Jared Goff literally didn't have the clout to do that Literally John elway and Eli Manning.. one known to be a once in a generation talent who was also drafted to MLB and the other from first family of football Jim Kelly had the usfl as leverage.. Jared Goff does not People said Joe burrow was also going to refuse to play for Cincinnati... Yet he also does not have The leverage Jared Goff didn't have the clout to do that 1 Quote
AlCowlingsTaxiService Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Who cares? I didn’t want to move to Buffalo either and yet here I still am forty years later … 1 Quote

After years of Buffalo being the laughing stock of the country growing up in the 80's, I don't take kindly to people mocking the city. I think deep down he would have wanted to play for a Cali franchise, most likely SF. Who knows, he may end up there in a “nearing the end” trade if the Bills enter complete rebuild mode at some point. 1 Quote
