Special K Posted December 16 Posted December 16 .....and the Lions were not prepared for it!! Counter runs by Cook, Counter runs by Josh Allen, then a series of misdirection plays all stemming from a Counter run look....and every one of those plays seemed to work!! A masterful gameplan from Brady, and IMO, the best Offensive gameplan in the entire Josh Allen era. Unfortunately for the Bills, I believe Brady all but locked up a head coaching position for next season if he wants it.....let's hope he wants to stick around with Josh Allen for another year or two before making that leap. Go Bills!!! 5 3 2 Quote

Go Bills!!! One good full season as a coordinator locks up a head coaching job? He might get some interviews but I think he sticks around for another year. Quote

MrEpsYtown Posted Monday at 07:07 PM Posted Monday at 07:07 PM The counter-bash stuff they were running is just absolutely filthy and linebackers and DEs had their heads spinning. 2 Quote
Sweats Posted Monday at 07:09 PM Posted Monday at 07:09 PM The thing about Brady is that when he was at LSU, he had a lot of weapons to work with and i think it translates to what the Bills are giving him this year........a run game (if they need it and to set up some play action), deep threats and slot receivers, throw some TE's into the mix, add some mis direction and some timing plays, a wildcard mobile QB and it all keeps D's on their toes cause no one knows what's coming next. RoyBatty is alive Posted Monday at 07:23 PM Posted Monday at 07:23 PM Agreed but I would state I thought the Bills offense game plane versus Dallas last year was better, we made Micah Parsons totally irrelevant. Quote

Go Bills!!! I was going to post something similar. And how about setting up those counters all game to then run the counter fake shovel pass to Shakir for the TD? Also perfectly executed. 1 Quote
Just in Atlanta Posted Monday at 07:49 PM Posted Monday at 07:49 PM Masterful game plan by Brady. The D plan to limit Detroit's run game was masterful, too. My only complaint is Brady's and especially McD's inability to manage the clock at the end of games/halves. With 8 minutes to go nursing a 2 possession lead, for example, KC would certainly find a way to eat the clock. We scored so quickly and still gave them a timeout for the 2 minute warning. These are the kinds of things that win - and lose - games. These coaches need to get better at clock management. Quote

Go Bills!!! I know a common message around here is that there are only 32 HC jobs in the world and you shouldn't ever turn one down, but I don't think that's always true. If you're a confident, competent OC, and you have a prime Josh Allen, I can't see a reason not to stick with him and have him continue to make you look good while you learn and improve at coaching. If you're safe to sit in a position where you're routinely setting records for that industry, why not take your time? Why not wait until a team you like is ready to fire their HC, and you know they'll be in position to draft a great QB for you to groom? It's not much of a different philosophy than McD used. He was a candidate for a little while more than the year we hired him. Once the Bills approached him he had his own conditions to ensure his success. He wanted to pick his own GM, he wanted to overhaul the roster, he wanted to guarantee they'd do what it took to get the QB his staff wanted at the time they wanted, and he wanted time and patience. If the Pegulas didn't agree to that, he could've just waited, coaching a great defense under a defensive HC, until someone agreed. The method McD used is certainly viable enough to think that Joe Brady may want to do something similar and stick around for a bit. I’ve always felt that his MO post snap should be to identify is escape route- even if one isn’t needed. Once he escapes, the defense is at his mercy. Especially now that all of our RBs are so dangerous in the pass game. Too many good options across the board. Someone is bound to get free. he’s better outside the pocket than he’s ever been- kudos to Joe Brady for his play calling yesterday. It was a master class performance 2 Quote
