Sure we got lucky with that injury, but also the 49ers players were mentally back in sunny California by the 3rd quarter while our guys were making snow angels for fun. It was a HUGE advantage that for some reason a lot of our fans want to take away.

Its an advantage in the regular season vs the dumpster teams who are making business decisions.

less so in the postseason. I don’t think most teams are running for the bus in the playoffs no matter the conditions.

That’s the thing. Buffalo’s offense is lights out in these two dome games but the D is really not up to stopping these two very good QBs and their weapons.  So the tradeoff is our offense suffers a bit in weather games but the D really plays better in that environment.

If Allen played in a controlled environment every home game he would be unstoppable. The only thing that can stop him is Zaney Buffalo weather where talent is omitted and the luckier team wins. Just think it was short sighted to know you have the best player in the world why would you not want him to have the best possible playing conditions. How often does a team have the clear cut best best QB in the league? It may never happen for Buffalo again. We have 9 more years or so with him I just wish half his games weren’t a coin flip cause of weather.

If you have a spare Billion cough it up now for that roof

It’s being short sighted your already spending 2.1 billion with a dome you can hold events all year round.

And can you imagine how loud Bills Mafia would be in a domed stadium holding all that noise in!

....this narrative is also true.

Also, this stadium will be around a lot longer than Allen, who's hopefully playing in Buffalo for another 15 years at least. The outdoor games are what make football great.

Cowherd talks about it right here at 19:11 in the video -

They both basically say Josh would be all but unbeatable if playing in a dome, and how they're surprised the Bills didn't go that route just to capitalize on it for another 8 or 9 years.

Its easy to assume this.

But our game at Detroit 2 years ago with fake WR 1 didn’t look that easy.  And Detroit’s defense today is much better than that one.

The answer to the dome question is complicated - why doesn’t Minnesota or Detroit have any Super Bowls?

You put a dome on this stadium and regardless of how amazing Josh is I don’t think our record against the Dolphins looks the same either.

You view it as a detriment.  But every QB in the league can play in a dome.  Only a few QBs in the league have the arm talent to play and win in Buffalo in the elements.

Opposing fans don’t want to travel into this weather.  Players don’t want to play in this weather.  Embrace your advantage

This is ridiculous.  You don't spend a billion additional dollars to build a dome for the composition of the current team.  Allen could tear his ACL next week (God forbid) and never be the same player after that.  Then what happens to the dome?

You build the dome because it attracts other events that need a climate controlled environment for 30k+ people for the next 50 years.  If anything - I would say Allen deserves the grass field to protect his body and make his playing career as long as possible.  Allen plays a minimum of 10 games each year on turf between 8 games in Orchard Park, one in Foxboro, and another in East Rutherford - I want that number as low as possible.  A dome in WNY would not allow for that.  They can roll the grass into the dome in Arizona and Vegas because of the climates there.

Building a dome with a 50-yr lifespan for 1 guy who will play 1/5th of that is the definition of short-sighted.

Josh is great in any environment, it's a hell of a show in a dome but realistically his traits actually give him an advantage in poor weather. He's a ***** freight train that can fire a football out of the howitzer he has for a right arm cutting through the wind better than anyone else.

Dome proponents are kidding themselves if they think the stadium will suddenly house additional events in the off-season. New stadiums are like casinos in that attendees tend to stay internal. The additional billion in dome cost won't be meaningfully recouped throughout the year.

Imagine what PSLs would be for a stadium costing twice as much. They'd be roughly twice as much. Not to mention how lame an indoor, synthetic surface would be at that price tag.

Northeastern teams are meant to play outside on natural grass. Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, New England, Chicago, Green Bay...etc.
