So where is Amari Cooper?

Can't see it on TV well of Lions' coverages. I thought Lions' man to man coverage scheme means Cooper may be a big part of the offense. But he had 0 target.

 

On the positive side, there is no known issue of complaints of not getting targets so far. It looks like the big plays went to Ty Johnson who easily beat his man time after time in the first half.

I think he’s enjoying winning more than anything but it’d be nice to see him get in a rhythm at some point before the playoffs

Don't even think he had a target today which was bizarre.

Joe Brady/Josh really seemed to target the lions linebackers and the slot corner today

Allen is not going to force feed anybody; he's going to attack weak spots in the defense no matter where they are.

If those areas mean Ty Johnson, Kincaid and Shakir are the ones getting space to work, that's where the ball is going to go.

Combined, the outside guys got a total of 4 balls thrown to them. Hollins caught the one for a 7 yarder, Coleman caught the bomb then had the jump ball in the middle of the field that fell incomplete and Cooper wasn't targeted at all so without seeing an All-22 I'm guessing the Lions were bracketing outside WR's or the Bills believed they could toast the Lions over the middle.

Got the ball today to the guys that made plays. Ty Johnson was great receiving today. TE’s had good stats. Running game was on point. 
 

Cooper will make a difference for this team before the season ends, and definitely in the playoffs.

And this is where Josh has grown.  In past, he'd feel the need to get ball to his #1 (Diggs).  Now...he feeds the ball to the best match ups...and it works.

I didn't break down the all 22 film obv, but in general the NFL is really letting offensive and defensive holding go.

 

Scheme and Allen buying time like vowels on wheel of fortune means our guys eventually get open, but it's crazy what gets let go.

 

I think this is a part of why coop a d Coleman didn't get much, along w the game plan to destroy their base d.

 

It's like they've been on playoff calls mode since our game vs KC, the atmosphere has felt that way too

Exactly this.

 

Opposing D-Coordinators are going to focus coverage and put their best CB on him. Josh is going to go whoever is open. Case in point, Ty Johnson having a 100+ yard Receiving game.

 

Brady has emphasized this since he's taken over for Dorsey. This is in large part why Diggs fell off and why he wanted out. Luckily, Cooper thus far seems to be more of a team player and just happy to be on a winning team.

How many snaps did he get today? I do t remember seeing him out there at all today.

Maybe it’s pretty straightforward and he just isn’t as good as he used to be? And maybe his poor play in Cleveland wasn’t entirely Watson’s fault and coming to Buffalo didn’t rejuvenate him like the fans and media thought it would? Whatever the reason is I don’t care how many targets he gets as long as the offense keeps rolling. Would hate for them to feel like they to get him going more to justify the 3rd rounder they gave up.

He’s getting the MVS treatment. If we let him go he’ll catch 2 TDs a game for the Saints

Beane told Allen to avoid targetting him to keep him affordable to re-sign

Haven't yet seen chemistry develop between Allen and Cooper. Even the few times he has been targeted since he joined I don't think that Josh has made good throws to him. Cooper has shown good hands (on the ball that was lateraled to Josh for an TD) and excellent ball tracking ability. Hope the production is there after they have had a chance to work more together. You would reasonably expect that to happen. They are both vets and great players.

A heavy dose of man means Josh Allen can spread the field and let everybody eat 

 

Especially when they don't have a pass rush that can threaten him 

 

Cooper will be a bigger threat when other people get closed off and we need a guy to make a play.. when everybody is making plays it's okay that he's the guy drawing coverage 

 

He's going to work his magic in zone coverage and in tight games when Josh needs to make a throw to somebody who's not open
