I'm sure Mahomes hurt his ankle.  And I'm sure it's painful.

But we've seen this over exaggeration drama from him before... getting carried off the field by teammates, and then "miraculously" finding a way to play.

My guess is that he's questionable all week.  But I will be shocked if he doesn't start on Sunday.

I'd bet my 401k he doesn't play on Sunday

Chiefs play on Saturday this week

The only way this guy ain't playing is if he's on crutches or if Andy tells him he doesn't care about the #1 seed but the by would be a good thing for him & the team so i see Patty playing in every game .

That's not saying i wouldn't put my faith in Wentz but i'm saying i wouldn't put my faith in Wentz .

I think you just play it week to week. Start Wentz this week and if they lose and Bills win, start Mahomes the following week, or not.

Bills could blow 1 of these games.

The chiefs are 2 point underdogs at home against Houston.  Vegas seems to think mahomes isn't playing.

Houston isn’t a great defense for him to face injured and getting sacked like he is.

Just heard from source Chiefs thinking 2 weeks missed time.

It makes sense.  They're going to play two games in 5 days vs. Good Physical teams.  The chiefs know the bills are going 3-0 , meaning they need to win 2 of their last 3.

Theyre hoping and praying that Wentz can manage to win 1 of the next 2 games.

50/50 shot that Broncos game means nothing or everything for Denver.

If I had to guess, Denver drops their next two games and need that game to get in.

If Carson Wentz can lead the Chiefs to a victory over a playoff team in Houston or Pittsburgh, I don't want to hear about how great and powerful Mahomes is anymore.

Last game he missed time in a big moment, their backup came in and won a playoff game.

That makes sense.  Two games in 11 days is a bear.    MRI came back as "mild" high ankle sprain, so 2 weeks seems right.

I generally agree, but they have a short week this week (Saturday/Houston) and follow it up with another short week (Wednesday/@Pittsburgh). If I am the Chiefs I am maybe more concerned with him playing injured twice in 4 days then I am with seedings and wins and losses.

Not even speaking as a Bills fan fighting for the 1 seed, I would rather give Mahomes 10 days rest. If he had a full week between games I would be much less bothered.

Tough their game is before the Steelers game…if the Steelers beat the ravens before the chiefs  played I don’t think I’d risk mahomes’ health because possibly sliding from the 1 to the 2 if you lose and then lose again and very very likely avoiding the ravens in round 2 really doesn’t seem so bad

they can’t have that extra info though cuz their game is first

I tend to agree, have a two game cushion. You lose to Houston okay that sucks but you’re still in the drivers seat. Come back for Pitt and win both to lock the 1 would be my guess

The Chiefs just need to rest Mahomes for the next 2 games.  If they lose both of them & Buffalo wins both of theirs, they can then start Mahomes for the Denver game so he will be warmed up for their wildcard weekend game.

I'm a Bills fan and hated Mahomes for being so good. You gotta appreciate his ultra competitiveness, kind of like Tom Brady level.

Don't take it as a shot at Allen or other guys. All of them star players, especially QBs are very competitive. But there are different levels. Some guys just can't accept failure, not even tiny bit, and it propells them to go to maybe the dark side. In Mahomes case, this year shapes to be a year he went too far too many times with so many INTs, trying to make a play.

line is HOU -2.5 now… lolz

Let’s not forget, this game means very little to Houston.  They’re pretty much locked in to the 4th seed.
