Mahomes week to week, injured ankle

this doesn’t look great folks. plus Houston has a nasty defense and a capable offense.  Pittsburgh will be a handful there, and Denver will want to beat KC in the worst way possible.

People for some reason seem to think he's not hurt. Not sure why, I see no reason for kc to just make stuff up. Plus, he was getting absolutely murdered today by the Browns defense. Probably the most I've seen him get beat up in a long time. He didn't finish the game after he got hurt. He may play next week, who knows, but the kc o line has been atrocious

Regardless.. makes it interesting with Houston immediately coming up and Pittsburgh 5 days later. 
 

And if we somehow steal the 1 seed, that’s going to be a tired team with a beat up Mahomes Wild Card Weekend. 
 

Then again, it could be another one of his phantom injuries that he plays through in dramatic fashion or Wentz does just enough.

yep in the playoffs a few years back. Plus he miraculously recovered from a concussion in 2020 divisional round against Cleveland.

Because like KC last play victories it's happened too damn often.

He didn't return to the game though. Their back up had to finish the game. Converted a huge 4th down too I think.

Interesting because they play Saturday and on Christmas (10 days away). If Mahomes misses both those games or is limited they have a real chance to lose. Problem is TJ Watt got hurt today too: the Steelers are cooked without him

I’d be surprised if he plays on a short week, and if he actually misses Saturday, I’d say odds are high he misses Christmas Day against the Steelers. 
 

If that was Allen, and we were in the Chiefs position, I’d be fine taking my chances to make sure he’s healthy as can be for the playoffs even if it risks the 1 seed.   Especially given their OL struggles blocking and the Texans and Steelers have great pass rushes.  (Watt got hurt but it’s a low ankle & could be back for KC). 
 

But we don’t believe it until we see it because he had this same injury, played through it and was dramatic af about it.

What is with the Watt brothers? They always get/got hurt it seems every year

Mahomes plays better hurt. It will make him get the ball out faster and follow Reid’s play design, and also they will run the ball more. My guys is he tries to play Saturday.

We’ve seen this too many times, I don’t believe he will miss a game. But with the 10 day two game turnaround, maybe.
