Clearly he’s fine and will not missing be any time, but there’s no way he’s got a high ankle sprain.

Chiefs fans are tagging Mahomes with this and hoping it’s bulletin board material, but I love it from Settle.

I hope that Texans Defense comes in with bad intentions against this drama queen.

Based on these comments, they just might.

Lot of classy comments here. And you guys knock KC fans? I don’t see any of them wishing injury upon Allen.

I fear for the mental health of Bills Mafia if KC threepeats.

You should take a gander at the vile filth that is Chief's Planet.  The things I've seen wished upon people on that forum are the purview of snuff films.

They won't, unless the zebras allow your grossly incompetent offensive line to hold like drunken sailors at a slow dance. (They probably will, and then it will still be a close thing.) You're a nervy child of illegitimate parentage to show up on another team's board to consistently chastise your hosts.

Mahomes is getting sacked and pressured more than any other year. Yeah O-Line definitely matters and it’s what will keep them from a 3-peat if there’s no improvement.

Yeah, and one year I thought

There's no way Colin Kaepernick makes it to the SB. The idiot just makes one read and runs in a straight line.

I don’t consistently chastise anybody. The number of posters rooting for injury just seems excessive.

The only O-lineman who is grossly incompetent is Wanya Morris, and I don’t expect him to see another snap.

KC fans, of course, are the epitome of class.

Nobody is hoping for a dirty play, but if you put an already injured player behind a bad o-line against a top pass rushing team bad things could happen.

I am going to step in here... anyone wishing for the injury of another player is wrong and Karma is a b$tch so if you are seeing that then know the vast majority of Bills Mafia is not hoping someone gets a debilitating injury nor do I believe the same from Chiefs fans.. but there are always a few... everywhere. Bulletin Board all you want... I suspect it goes both ways and neither team will need it to be ready if indeed they do meet. With regards to our mental health, we are a bit tougher than you estimate... but we sincerely appreciate your heartfelt concern... dont worry about us.. take care of your own.

Not many people here wish serious injury on anyone, so I’m not sure what you’re on about.

What we do think is that Mahomes is a drama king and yea, we hope he gets hit a lot by the Texans good pass rush.

Seriously injured, nah, not me.. but if he’s out there, he’s fair game.

Didn’t see much in the way of sympathy when Josh Allen had a partially torn UCL two years ago that limited his passing ability for half of the year (into the playoffs)

Oh wait.. maybe that’s because nobody outside Buffalo really knew about it.

Because he doesn’t make sure he’s the story by gimping around.

I've seen Allen create contact with a defender and then throw himself backward like he was hit by a Mack truck. I'm not sure he'd be above "gimping around."

Have you ever had a high ankle sprain?

In any case, I have no idea what there is to criticize in this situation. I doubt that anyone on this board would've walked with no limp after that play. Mahomes leaves the field, tries to return, but they shut him down because they felt they had the game in hand. In postgame, Reid tells the media that he probably would've gone back in if it were a playoff game. After tests, they announce that it's a mild sprain, and Mahomes himself says it's less severe than the last ankle injury and that he plans to play. Then practices in full.

Somehow, opposing fans interpret this as "hyping up" the injury.

I will speak for myself... I could care less if he limps around or pretends its worse than it is or legitimately limps or whatever... , none of us have any idea what the pain level was and frankly I dont care (no I didnt want to see him get hurt) ... he shows up and plays he shows up and plays... no amount of acting, non acting or anything means anything other than what happens between the lines.  . Score more points then the other team then focus on the next.  I will say when I saw the way he went down my reaction was... ouch, thats gonna hurt... anyways... not interested in a debate on if he shoulda limped or not... or if Allen embellishes... play the game if it comes... the rest is meaningless and trivial and indicative of a slow news week.

Truth is, everyone is just sick of Kansas City and honestly - yes - that skews some of the conversation, especially when KC was meh last year and their biggest opps (Bills) were decimated by injury in the playoffs and then, meh again, this year, winning on luck.

KC is not a fun team to watch.  They’re a grind it out defensive team that either catches breaks or the pressure they don’t fold under causes other teams to fold.

And every year, we seem to get gimp Mahomes around this time.

Baltimore fans have dealt with Lamar missing the playoffs entirely.

Bengals fans have dealt with Burrow going down and dooming their season.

Bills fans have watched Allen play through some serious injuries that he doesn’t get the benefit of because nobody talks about them.

So when we see the team we’re all trying to beat, and constantly come up short against.. some due to the injury luck KC continues to have in the playoffs every year (Bengals two years ago / Bills last year), we roll our eyes out the back of our heads when Mahomes does this ankle routine.

If it was someone like Baker and it happened once, we’d have no issue with it, correct.   Mahomes, on KC, repetitively, it’s annoying to people already annoyed by this team.

If they win again, they’ve earned it.

I think they’re reaching the end of their run though.  They’re a dying empire and Mahomes seems to have stagnated a bit while others keep ascending.

But they need to be taken out, and until that happens, they’re still the kings (and drama queen) and all we can do as fans of opposing teams is be annoyed about it while KC fans justifiably laugh.

He is above gimping around. 100%. He’s come away with plenty of injuries and it wasn’t made known until after the game or once he dragged himself to the sideline.

The point you’re initially referencing is Allen and his theatrics. No problem with it personally, a player wants to hit him when he’s giving up and he sells it. That’s the defenders fault. They want to clash helmets and talk smack with him when the play is over? That’s on the defender.

Guess you still believe Chris Jones aiming his leg to Josh’s knee on the “phantom” tripping play is acceptable.

Several times this season alone we’ve seen players punching and hitting Josh that haven’t been penalized or even referenced by the league or its review process.

Can’t blame the guy for selling the acting classes. Patty is just as good so you can’t even go there on that one.

And myself, yes. Twice during my playing years I had a high ankle sprain. Coaches refused to let me play until at least two weeks of healing which meant missing a game. And I’m not worth half a billion dollars.

But to your initial point, if anyone gimps around or plays an act with injuries, it’s Patrick. Absolutely. He’s done it already this in his career.
