TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th Posted December 16 Posted December 16 The chiefs are 2 point underdogs at home against Houston. Vegas seems to think mahomes isn't playing. Quote
Process Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Chiefs being underdogs at home vs Houston is absurd, even if Mahomes is out 1 Quote
Boatdrinks Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Not going to get my hopes up, but could have an impact. Quote

Not sure why, I see no reason for kc to just make stuff up. Plus, he was getting absolutely murdered today by the Browns defense. Probably the most I've seen him get beat up in a long time. He didn't finish the game after he got hurt. He may play next week, who knows, but the kc o line has been atrocious Take Mahomes embellishments to the side just for the moment and realize KC has cried wolf like this... SEVERAL times this season that turned out being BS. 1 Quote
Scott7975 Posted Monday at 08:54 AM Posted Monday at 08:54 AM People called him hero for playing in the playoffs with a sprain. I wasn't convinced that was as big as made to be either but he got used to that so now he has a fake one every year around this time. Dude is just fame farming. 1 1 Quote
Harold Jackson Posted Monday at 09:11 AM Posted Monday at 09:11 AM The sad truth is. They can be just as effective with Wentz. And frankly, it may not be till next year that Buffalo gets over the hump and/but with a new Coach. Quote
Ayjent Posted Monday at 09:45 AM Posted Monday at 09:45 AM What’s different this year is that his tackles aren’t good and limited mobility is a much bigger deal when the edges are unpredictably vulnerable… unless the refs swallow whistles on holding (which is entirely possible). They’d be silly to play him too early and jeopardize his availability in the playoffs. The thing is I’m not sure they’ll sit him if he wants to play. I think Houston is a tough matchup for KC even with Mahomes 100% and I think it closes the gap for Bills to get no. 1 seed if Bills take care of business. I don’t think the Steelers are good enough to beat KC with or without Mahomes, but Denver could. Denver is likely playing for seeding because the AFC field looks almost set with colts and fins losing today (and those two teams don’t deserve a playoff spot) so it may come down to the game meaning more to KC than Denver. JerseyBills Posted Monday at 10:50 AM Posted Monday at 10:50 AM He looked bad leaving the field, I'd be shocked to see them hurry him back next week, especially with a 1.5 game lead as the 1 seed but this opens up a lane for Buf. Quote

May Day 10 Posted Monday at 11:21 AM Posted Monday at 11:21 AM Him not being mobile is a good way to get him seriously hurt behind that o-line They might be smart to sit him out a few weeks, maybe until the playoffs and roll the dice that they can win 2 of 3 1 Quote
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted Monday at 11:27 AM Posted Monday at 11:27 AM Sure seems like we’ve seen this movie before, where the media starts fawning over “gritty” Mahomes playing through an otherwise “crippling” injury—which magically goes away once he plays the Bills…🤷 1 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted Monday at 11:55 AM Posted Monday at 11:55 AM He'll play. Of course, three tough opponents and whenever he messes up or they drop a game we get to hear "Yeah, well safe to wonder if Pats ankle wasn't hurt the Chiefs win this one." Built in excuse. And if they do win it's "The hero Pat Mahomes is so simply awesome, he's playing in one leg" Meanwhile our QB has been hobbled with the hand injury and God knows what else since week 1, running around saying "It's just a flesh wound", is playing good enough to be the leading MVP candidate and not a word Quote

The Denver game could be interesting. Could be a situation where if Denver beats kc they drop to the #2 seed, which Denver would face in the first round. So Denver may have its choice of facing either the bills or kc. Quote

It's a win-win situation: -Bet against the Chiefs and they win = You win money. -Bet against the Chiefs and they lose = Bills win in the playoff race. Either way, it's a Bills win (as we are ALL Buffalo). Quote
