Here’s what he has: Best OL in the league. Best RB duo in the league. Top 5 TE in the league. Top 5 QB in the league. Top Slot WR in the league. Couldn’t beat a Bills D without starting safeties, a CB and a gimpy LB. Cool name, though. Their offense was also great today. Come on. This was shoot out between two great offenses playing injury ravaged defenses. 1 Quote

The Rams game, Stafford is less mobile than Goff and Rams O-Line is worse than the Lions, but a little bit moving pocket and some amazing catches by Rams receivers made the difference. This game, the Lions could not run the ball (for the most part) and the receivers dropped some balls (frankly not in the class of Kupp and Nucua). Yes, Rams made some incredible catches last week. Pressure on Goff definitely made Goff make some poor throws. Difference int the game probably. Their receivers aren’t dogmeat. St. Brown had 14 for 193. Honestly, I don’t know if I would have guessed he had that many yards today. Incidentally, St. Brown has just over 1000 yards this year. Jameson Williams is at 747 yards. Kupp has 657 and Nacua has 805. I’d say it’s a push, but towards the lions. Quote
billsfan89 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Johnson is one of the best play callers in the NFL but there was a pundit (I forgot which one) that mentioned that calling great plays doesn't make you a great head coach. There's so much more to coaching than having great play calls on offense and developing players on offense. The Lions have built a good system under Johnson and have gotten him great personnel to do so. On the Bills side of things I was pleased to see the defensive line play well. The defense made enough plays to start the game and the second half to allow the Bills to build a huge lead and the defensive line was a big reason why the Lions were not able to run the ball and forced into a lot of 3rd and 4th and long situations. 1 Quote

It's really true, particularly about the hollers. I was born in Bradford Hospital and am in Western PA now and it might be even more that way over here. 1 Quote
34-78-83 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 Is there a world with enough room where Johnson and Brady can both be really good coordinators? I'm pretty sure there is. Quote
