Mikie2times Posted December 16 Posted December 16 (edited) Hmmmm, give Brady and Buffalo a stationary QB who has to stay within the play and then maybe we can talk about something. Half our offense doesn't even involve the original play call. Edited December 16 by Mikie2times 1 1 1 1 Quote

Here’s what he has: Best OL in the league. Best RB duo in the league. Top 5 TE in the league. Top 5 QB in the league. Top Slot WR in the league. Couldn’t beat a Bills D without starting safeties, a CB and a gimpy LB. Cool name, though. There were many people here that wanted to fire McDermott and give Ben Johnson and….Bobby Slowik the keys to the kingdom. Robert 👏 F’N 👏Slowik Hiring Slowick, who has done a horrendous job this season in Houston, would have been the biggest disaster. Yet some here swore by him! As far as Johnson, I think he is an excellent offensive mind that has gone a great job in Detroit. Jury is still out on how he’ll perform as HC. Edited December 16 by JohnNord Quote

Until then he is the premiere candidate and if you listen to other coaches/players talk about him he is excellent at teaching/scheming and calling plays. Rex Ryan mentioned earlier in the year that the packers last year ran Ben Johnsons offense vs Dallas in the wild card almost exactly as Detroit did a few weeks earlier at Dallas. The guy is getting any job he wants. Everybody in the league wants a shanahan or a mcvay. Quote

I know you felt the need to dunk on Johnson, but he just dunked on the Bills, so it's weird timing for the post. I'm saying give our guys what you just said and what happens? If your argument is strip him of all his toys and see what happens then my argument would be what in gods name would happen to us if Allen wasn't here? Both offenses balled out today. The post is just weird timing. Edited December 16 by Mikie2times 1 Quote
PoundingDog Posted December 16 Posted December 16 It's a thin line. The Rams game, Stafford is less mobile than Goff and Rams O-Line is worse than the Lions, but a little bit moving pocket and some amazing catches by Rams receivers made the difference. This game, the Lions could not run the ball (for the most part) and the receivers dropped some balls (frankly not in the class of Kupp and Nucua). Quote

GunnerBill Posted December 16 Posted December 16 The best OC tonight was Joe Brady. Johnson called a really good game. But Brady's was even better. 1 Quote

All it took was all of Detroit's studs to be injured and out. Quote
