We are. I'm feeling great about it and will talk about the good points in other threads. Doesnt mean there cant be any discussion about areas of improvement. 1 1 Quote
34-78-83 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago We just beat the F@&$!?&@ Lions in their place and these are your first postgame thoughts? Some people need to go back and wallow in the pits of misery they’ve dug for themselves for too long, too long to ever come out of. Just unreal. We got pressure today against the best o line besides ours in the game. We got 3 stops where we made them punt plus a turnover. All this with 3 out of 5 in the secondary being backups or rookies That’s how these games go when two explosive offenses get together. I’m floored by our own fans so often these days. it’s comical 1 2 1 Quote
wjag Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago (edited) So many of Detroits yards were prevent defense. Bummed about Milano though. Edited 6 hours ago by wjag Quote
Governor Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago At least we know the number now. We need 48 points to be considered safe from McD wrecking the game. 3 1 1 1 1 Quote

You mean the best 3rd down defense in the NFL that was also #2 in defensive EPA? Just now, wjag said: So many of Detroits yards were prevent defense. Bummed about Milano though. I really don’t think this pass defense the last two weeks can lead them to an AFC title let alone Super Bowl. How does it get fixed? Against Nacua and Kupp then LaPorta, St Brown and Jameson. I think it was bound to be a shootout Quote

A 14 pt lead in the 1st quarter isnt enough to go prevent. They definitely fouled up those two drives where they got too passive early when they went up three scores; defensively they needed to force 4-5 minutes of clock on those instead of 2 minutes on each. Aside from that I though they did a really good job handling what was the best offense in the world, particularly losing 3 starting DBs in one week. 3 Quote

Bernard was in position and got hands on the ball but it was thrown so well that it went right to him. One of those right time-right place plays that are almost impossible to duplicate 2 1 Quote

No, I remember that. And I'm thrilled about the win. What I'm not thrilled with is that we were getting stops playing aggressively and sending heat, but then every time we would go up by 3 scores, McD/Babich would change philosophy and go into that soft shell and allow them right back in the game. Over and over. Just put your ***** heel on the opponents throat for ONCE. It's ok to play hard and get a 4 or even 5 score lead. Edited 1 hour ago by DrDawkinstein 2 1 Quote
QB Bills Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Baylon Spector should not be anywhere close to a football field. I get he's the backup's backup, but that guy is an affront to defensive football. 1 1 Quote

Over and over. Well they got the win against the top offensive team in the NFL. There’s a lot to work on defense as well. I’m sure they will look at the tape and use yesterday as a chance to improve.
