Also there is zero chance McD is not involved in personnel decisions. Deserves credit there as well. He deserves credit for bringing back Kromer okay. The input in personnel decisions is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i don’t know the dynamic between he and Beane and neither do you. Quote

In 2017 McDermott drafted the players. Since then its been up to Beane to make the choices, but if you think Mcdermott and his scheme doesnt have huge insight into who the Bills are bringing into their locker-room you're insane. Quote
todd Posted Monday at 12:25 PM Posted Monday at 12:25 PM Doesn't everyone realize that every success buffalo has is despite McD, and every failure is because of him? 1 Quote
Man with No Name Posted Monday at 12:32 PM Posted Monday at 12:32 PM (edited) Sorry, McD owes too much of his success to Josh to ever get praise for "Josh's career year." BUT, as for other debates in here, I'd be quite surprised if McD doesn't have a HUGE influence on who is drafted, what coaches are brought in, and what schemes the coordinators work on. McD has his strengths. I think even most of his critics here would agree he is at least a "good coach." The question is whether he is Marty Schottenheimer, Bill Belichick, or somebody in between. I think we all know he's not BB. We can only hope he is able to turn into something halfway between him and Marty though. Though hey, perhaps even Marty could have won a couple rings if he had Joshua Patrick Allen. Edited Monday at 12:37 PM by Man with No Name 1 Quote
Mr. WEO Posted Monday at 12:42 PM Posted Monday at 12:42 PM McD's crappy Defense has spurred Josh to new super human heights. So, yes, let's thank him for this. 1 2 Quote

Many on this board were critical of him being an old conservative outdated defensive mind for his constant focus on being able to run the ball and win up front. Not only was McD right that this was the answer, it unleashed our franchise QB to win his first MVP and hopefully a Lombardi. Go Bills. Thank you ! If this is in fact the year our team brings home a Lombardi i think i will enjoy telling all the McD haters here to eat a booger than i will the actual win 🤔 . Okay so i lied, but that will definitely be a huge part of my celebration if they do ... Quote
