I promise you, this wasn’t the first shoot out that’s happened in the NFL. No one is saying it’s the first shoot out? lol. you think they are saying the Lions defense played well? I bet they are talking about how they had no answers for Josh and the offense and they were one poor call away from getting 50 pieced. And sure they were pretty banged up but that doesn’t make the performance “good.” 2 Quote
Royale with Cheese Posted Monday at 01:06 AM Posted Monday at 01:06 AM What’s funny is its pretty much a consensus that this is the best offensive line Allen has ever had. But that apparently doesn’t matter. 1 1 Quote

Oliver really came alive today. That was good. But clearly the way our offense is playing they are the focus of our team 2 Quote

How do we even know? Lol. The play was blown dead on the incorrect team. Should’ve been an easy sneak after an obvious Offside. and that second point is pretty dubious too imo. Teams open the full playbook there very often and when it works they’re praised as geniuses. Quote

Einstein Posted Monday at 01:08 AM Posted Monday at 01:08 AM More end of game nonsense too. - How do we snap the field goal before 1 second? We gave them the 2 minute warning. - Why did we kick the ball out of the endzone, isn’t of making them take it out and burn clock? Quote

The firemcdermottsoftzone13seconds gang can't go a week without breathing into a paper bag. There were two legit criticisms of McDermott today IMO. 1. I think he should still go on 4th down when Bass misses the FG. If its bang, bang I understand a bit more kicking. But with the injury you had 2 or 3 minutes to come up with your best play there. Shoulda gone IMO. 2. I think on that last drive the failed pass on 2nd down he has to tie Joe Brady's hands more there and say "you can't throw it, three runs and FG is fine." An example of where "being aggressive" like everyone calls for was the wrong call IMO. Quote

You think our offense succeeded in part because of all the guys they lost on D? You should. Quote
pigpen65 Posted Monday at 01:10 AM Posted Monday at 01:10 AM Ridiculous. Hollins returned the onside to set up a huge TD. Benford caused a fumble for a huge TO. Offensive line was great. Cook has a huge run. Receivers made some huge catches. Knox and Johnson both made some huge grabs. Allen would happily tell you this game was not all Allen. 3 Quote

I agree, neither of those were great calls. I put the 2nd one more on the Head Coach there. He has to say "no more passes." But overall his play calling and play design was excellent. Great mix of pasd to run and I can't remember a game basically all year where Josh threw so many balls to open guys. 1 Quote
