You just have to laugh; there is a guy that is bigger AND faster than you coming at you at full speed while you're standing there flat-footed and he can choose to either run through you, around you or literally jump over your head. I would have very much enjoyed hearing exactly how the hell he was trying to coach that one up. I love the mic'ed up clip from the 2020 Chargers game after Bosa hip-dropped Josh, and Dawkins and the OL came to give Bosa some business, and he's like "He's f$%&king huge! Wtf do you guys want me to do?! Let him run me over? There's no way to tackle him!!" 1 1 Quote

If Hollins doesn't get it, Detroit was going to get it on the run. I’ve watched it a few times and there is no way that ball gets past Hollins to the Detroit player in bounds…Hollins was in perfect position. 3 Quote

Has this ever been done this late in a season before by a conference leading team?? 😳 Shouldn't they just raid other teams practice squads? Players would be in game shape. 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 16 Posted December 16 WGR is the most amazing thing when they take calls. A guy just called and he had to be completely wasted and just went on and on. Quote

Kromer is one heck of a coach and really has this group humming. Torrence seems to be putting in the work to improve his pass pro sets. The false starts across the line have to get cleaned up a bit, but other than that this has been a real solid season keeping Josh clean. We even execute screen plays and use some elaborate motion, pulling and blocking schemes that work.... I had just about given up on my Bills being able to pull off a screen play I think Allen has not been sacked in the last four games. Beane and Kromer have done a great job with the O-line. And Josh has not been the only beneficiary. They are a big part of the reason Cook has been so effective running inside the tackles. Quote

Partly because you could tell Bosa was being genuinely sincere and partly because you could see a couple of the Bill OL mentally go "Yeah, you're right" and just let it drop. 1 Quote
Sojourner Posted December 16 Posted December 16 8 minutes ago, That's No Moon said: Missing Aiden Hutchinson is a huge deal. For sure. That team is completely different without him. They talked about, a few times, during the broadcast how since losing Hutch the Lions are reliant on the blitz. For all the man coverage and blitzes they run they’re actually successful however this clearly was their downfall. Josh and other top teams completely carve them up. Think this, sadly for Detroit, is going to cost them in the playoffs. Was the hype about Zadarius Smith, 3 sacks in 4 games, coming into yesterday justified? Probably not but you have to tip your hat goes to the line for shutting him, McNeil and #91. Speaking of players, they’re actually losing more key players at the worst possible time. McNeil done for the season, Carlton Davis out until the Championship/Super Bowl weeks, David Montgomery with an MCL sprain… Absolutely devastating. Going back to the other point, without McNeil and Carlton Davis there’s no way they can send blitzes at the rate they have and be as successful against quality opponents. Unless they do what Josh and the gang have been doing and hanging points at will on teams then Goff and the Lions will be bounced out in the wild cards or Divisional. Sad cause I was hoping to see them if we ended up in the Super Bowl. Quote

There was that caller yesterday - Steven in Florida - who called both overtime shows and Jeremy and Joe - and said the exact same thing in the same order to all 3 hosts. The caller in Connecticut calls all the time as well. 1 Quote

My comment was simply directed at the idea that poster couldn't envision anyone beating the bills in the playoffs. That is a scenario I wouldn't feel great about. Oh yea I can’t argue that…it’s really tough to feel good about any playoff game. Even if your team has a sizable edge there’s still a 40% chance you lose Quote

We don't play the Lions often, but Allen has been there done that with so many teams. They were not showing him anything new. It's like when teams try to game plan for the fact he's "better when he rolls to his right". I saw some interview in the last year or so someone mentioned it and Josh just smiled and was basically "OK". It's one thing to know it and another to stop it Edited December 16 by stevewin 1 Quote

The other thing is the other guys on that side played it to perfection - ran straight ahead to block the Lion players to give Hollins a free shot at the ball. As much as I am frustrated at ST sometimes, they executed that onside recovery perfectly 2 Quote

You can see a lot of good traits in tape but you can't replicate what you see live. You tend to underestimate Allen and others thinking oh well we'll spy him with Campbell or Kwon Alexander and we will be okay not realizing that Allen is significantly more agile and faster in game and those guys can't keep up. You really have to put a safety into the game to make that happen. When you do that though it leaves you vulnerable to the Bills downhill rushing attack if your in nickel or dime. 1 Quote

Straight-line speed and size - Herbert matches Allen - the difference is Allen is so much more coordinated. The jukes, the acceleration, he makes definitive decisions to just go. 1 Quote

Most of my meetings are late afternoon to early evening, as such I am able to listen to the earlier shows while I work. I listen to some of the post games as well. There is a caller named Stephen who may be one of the most irritating humans I've ever heard call into these shows. He calls every day. Not only does he call every day, but he calls each show every day. He literally says the same thing almost verbatim to each host, two to three times a day. It's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Last night my wife and kids fell asleep early, so I listened to the early and late post-game shows while I took care of some housework. The dude called in and said the same thing on different shows maybe a half hour apart. Edited December 16 by thenorthremembers 1 1 Quote

Watch the Lions defender try to time up his tackle on Allen- then slide off to the ground as Josh jukes. Ridiculous and has to be a back breaker for a defense. The guy is truly an alien. 1 Quote
