I absolutely love when we play NFC teams we haven't seen in a while.

These dudes have never seen 6'5" 240lb white boy move like that in their lives and you can set your watch to their pursuit angles being totally inappropriate.

Bruschi did a good bit on this exact thing, maybe last week. Talked about his first time going up against Rothlisberger, and how he knows all these opponents and rookies are lining up against Josh for the first time and looking across the line like "Oh... Oh *****... How do I defend this monster?"

This also calls into question the 10 second runoff after the Intentional Grounding.  I think with 2 TOs left there, burning one of them would have been preferrable to the 10 second runoff which equates to two plays.  I really like McD as a coach, but his time management decisions continue to be poor.  Not calling a TO with :01 on the play clock in the 2nd half to get below the 2:00 warning after the fg attempt was also suspect.  You know these things are discussed in-depth because they are well prepared seemingly in all facets, but far too often it is not the optimal decision with regard to the clock.

I'm fine with it. Get out of half and get the ball back. Would have been different if we werent getting the ball, or it was the end of the game.

I didn’t realize it at the time but after watching the replay of the game was the audio on the broadcast this bad?!

You mean how low/quiet the announcers' voice volume was?

The list of injuries on the year from Detroit is insane,

Them going on a huge run last year and then this year were cute adorable stories

It’s our superbowl. Get out of the way Lions

10 second runoff was 100% the right call imo.  Trade 10 seconds for an extra play of using the entire field.  He definitely makes  mistakes for sure but a decent amount of criticisms I see are 50/50 judgement calls where either side can be justified or the criticism is straight up wrong.

Damn...not only is Detroit's D getting crushed by injuries but now Montgomery is out indefinitely with an MCL injury as well 😳😳

It was reported he limped off the field and immediately went to the locker room so that must have been the reason.

Sounds kinda familiar.

I feel bad for Detroit.  So many injuries - they might have a tough time in the playoffs now.

On the flip side of that - this feels like the best chance we've had yet.  There are simply no teams that are measurably better than us.  I wouldn't have said that in the past.  There are teams that CAN beat us, but no one that should beat us.

If Allen plays like he normally does on the playoffs, I don't think they can this year.

At one point in the 2nd/3rd qrtr they had a shot of the DET sideline with one of the Lions' coaches chewing out the 'backer they were using to spy Allen.

You just have to laugh; there is a guy that is bigger AND faster than you coming at you at full speed while you're standing there flat-footed and he can choose to either run through you, around you or literally jump over your head.

I would have very much enjoyed hearing exactly how the hell he was trying to coach that one up.

How is it that it’s non stop excuses about the lions defensive injuries but last year we had it even worse? Nobody said a word.  We lost like 20 guys on defense alone, nobody said anything? We played a home playoff game with an old retired STs guy starting at LB

I have been saying the same thing!  I have heard many commentators excuse the Lions loss becuase of their injuries.  Are the Lions still benfitting from the "lovable losers that are now good" story?  So many people want to overlook the loss and the bad coaching decisions made by Campbell.

I'm not sure more coaches have been made to look wrong even when they have a perfect play call than against Allen.

My favorite reactions of all time were during the 2020 season when Belichick slammed the phone down after Allen did something ridiculous when he had a perfect play call and when Fangio with Denver just threw his hands up in the air after he had all the receivers covered on a 3rd down play and Allen just scrambled for a TD anyway.

Don’t the negative posters here swear we only beat Baltimore in the playoffs because of wind?  I’ve seen that sentiment echoed many many times on here lol

Definitely need to put Hyde on the roster this week and stop playing games

Why?  We can elevate him from the PS three times in the regular season and is unlimited in the post season.  We can keep him on the PS and still play him in EVERY single game left.  If youre saying we should have him active then yes I agree but think hes probably still getting into football shape.

"Death Machine"  Over 0.2 points per play.  Josh doesnt have the craziest volume numbers of his career but thats because they have been so efficient they can coast for so long.

McNeil done for the year in Detroit with a torn ACL...kinda figured based on him rolling around holding his knee...

I think they use the wind as the reason for the limited offensive output for the Ravens, while making the argument that our playoff defense sucks.
