The offensive gameplay was just really smart. They exploited the safeties and LBs with our RBs, TEs, and slot guy. Let the lions chase our outside receivers, but those guys were basically decoys.

Some teams would have gone to a base nickel or dime, but apparently the lions didn’t or couldn’t.

yep.

The irony today of detroit staying in base defense and getting torched.

Detroit is now in a position where they may have to beat Minnesota in the season finale in order to get a home playoff game…this was a big loss for them.

Weird game where you score 48, but still feel like you left points on the field.

Note to Brady, if the ball has been placed inside the 1 yard line, that should be a QB sneak or HB dive 100% of the time (unless a strange circumstance where we need the clock to stop).

Maybe the Bills should just not practice anymore?

It’s crazy how they always play well in these situations. Even pre McDermott and Allen. I remember once they had to flee Buffalo, had to practice over zoom and play the jets at ford field and won by like 20+. I think Rex or Marrone was the coach idk but the Rb was that fireman dude

I think they were just out of defensive backs…

I thought the D line showed up all things considered as Detroit's o line is the best in football.

The problems seemed more in the back 7.

Offence of course was out of there mind and Josh just won MVP tonight

I agree.  We'd been getting washed on the ground in how many games.  Versus Detroit's stout running game, the Bills gave up 48 yards.  The Bills were missing 3 of their 5 starters in the secondary and lost another during the game.    Then Milano and Williams went out in the second half.  I'll cut the defense a bit of slack, considering they faced the number one offense.  However, some very poor tackling extended many of the Detroit drives.  Backups or not, tackling is fundamental.
