Very impressive with Cook running in a heavy snowfall and on a slick track.

That guys seems faster with the ball in his hands... a true home run hitter... one of 2 the Bills have at RB... and Ray Davis can break long gains too.

I love the speed of our RBs.

I'd love to get a hammer next year to run behind this big O-line.

Exactly, reaching that speed in the snow seems pretty amazing to me.  Beiing on a list with Nico Collins and KaVonte Turpin also seems pretty impressive.  He reminds me of Spiller when Gailey was using him correctly.

Wait, James Cook didn't average 21.85 mph on the entire carry? You don't say.

You don't have to be Einstein to figure that out, but just in case Einstein will remind you.  :D

I’m guessing it was the

touchdown run.  Field was in better shape on his path because during breaks our grounds crew was, shall we say, a bit more liberal in how much area it cleared along the sideline when we had the ball.

Video is linked.  Gives you two angles.  The one from the backfield is pretty good.  He was in the snow for 95 percent of the run.  Got to the sideline for a second or two at the end.  Totally unofficial but watching the run I'd have to bet he was still running in the snow when he reached top speed.

You’d be shocked how many people on this forum actually think that. Many pages arguing this a month or so back.

That really doesn't mean much

Because you're not running full speed at the NFL level much with 22 guys on the field

It's all about playing fast on a condensed field

But that doesn't take away from Cook's ability to blaze 21 plus in snow.. he's always running really fast ... The defense being slower allowed him to turn the corner and reach his max

Yeah it’s really the ability to accelerate in a confined space. But they don’t publish that.

the next gen tracks stat the acceleration as well as the top speed

Generally if you watch the play from the next gen clip it will show his miles per hour accelerating throughout the entire play

And he does not have a problem accelerating and running fast In tight spaces

He's really quick through the hole and accelerates to top speed quick even if he's not a 4.3 guy

They don’t publish or show acceleration. They show V throughout the run.

Ive searched and begged for acceleration stats from various stat aggregators.

You can calculate it yourself with V but it’s a pain.

Is acceleration more exciting or important than V?

Freshing isn’t it?! When he piped off the 65 yard TD with pure speed the NFl got a little more worried about this offense. I’d say it was a shot in the arm to in-house too.

13 TDs ytd.  How many geniuses on this board said we should dump Cook before the season and even during the season?

Or railed against the Bills drafting him "too high."

He’s still underrated. Just look at the “it’s still all Josh Allen” thread. Josh is incredible and having his best year ever, but Cook is also a top 5 back. Top 2-3 in the AFC? That helps too, ask Thurman
