Maynard Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I’m going McD on this. He’ll find someway to stick a ***** in it. 1 Quote

Guess what? He figured out his shortcomings and won 3 super bowls…. In Kansas City. It's 7 years maybe going on 8. How long do we wait? In spite of my reply above, everyone don't waste your time on McD gone. Pegula is aging and probably doesn't have the stomach to fire a coach and start the search. He has a sick wife. He likes McD, and his culture. The team wins, has the leagues most exciting player, has a new stadium coming, and makes a lot of wealth for TP. Lastly, as he doesn't move on the Sabre mess, I doubt he fires McD or Beane for that matter Quote
298Woody Posted December 15 Posted December 15 What about the DL coach? Is it the talent or lack of on the players part or the defensive line coaching that is the problem? Quote
Straight Hucklebuck Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I’m going with McDermott. I think we’re coming to the end of Act 2. Act 1 was 13-seconds. A justifiably fireable offense. We kept him Since it’s been Divisional, Divisional (with the asterisk being injuries in 2023). He has this Playoff run in front of him, and probably 2025, but if the Bills fall short next season, I think we’ve seen enough, been patient enough. Quote

When i say “prevent defense” i mean defense that play scared, i know that we play that f*****g zone D. Quote
Heavy Kevi Posted December 15 Posted December 15 (edited) Easily McD Sad part is he's a great coach 95% of the time, and builds a great locker room culture Unfortunately the 5% bad is always in the biggest moments. He's a "choker", sad to say it. Especially since Josh is clutch af. How many times have we watched Josh "win the game" and subsequently McD s nach defeat from the jaws of victory? Edited December 15 by Heavy Kevi Lol it censors "s natch" Quote

Reid didn’t win one until he had Mahomes. Well Reid is winning now. Sign of excellent coach is winning one score games. It’s rough when you have a McClappy and we can’t describe one innovative concept from him. MIA McDaniel speed/space. DET Cambell 4th down. Aside from :13 is there any McD-ism that’s been different, unique? Can we have a different HC at 2 min mark?! Quote

Let's not forget the Bass vanilla fudge sundae with plenty of nuts for dessert Quote

So you are saying the split was the best thing for both sides. Agreed! Quote
colin Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I voted dline, as of right now that's what we need the most. MCDs whole system is about a platoon of dl running like horses so that the small but present windows in the passing game aren't reachable. If we had a miles G or bosa on this line we beat the Rams and maybe even Houston this year. One thing that makes my mc confidence low is if we play the game of "switch QBs with the other team, do we still win" it's really hard for me to find a team in the NFL where that's true. Maybe cinci because they have a great QB so the loss on the exchange is less and their team has played badly, but that team has eaten our lunch the 9 quarters we've played them. Quote
ProcessTruster Posted December 15 Posted December 15 Was going to start a "Whiner" thread for today to capture all the whining, but I see it has already been started Quote
amprov56 Posted December 15 Posted December 15 Two weak choices trying to drive home the "hate McDermott" line, needed more to chose from, nice try! Quote

The time it takes to transition to a new set of coaches, with new philosophies etc. It would be a few years setback and who even knows if they do better than what we have. Mc D is a very good coach. He's fine. Terrible with time management. If you look at the average time a coach coaches a team to the Super Bowl in the last 40 years it's something like an average of five seasons. Statistically, we are not looking good here. https://www.reddit.com/r/buffalobills/comments/1g3kt1f/super_bowl_head_coaches_and_mcdermotts_tenure/ Edited December 16 by Gman10 Quote

Josh Allen has all the talent in the world. Too bad we didn't have a bit of a better coach behind him. 1 Quote
Jauronimo Posted December 16 Posted December 16 3 sacks, 10 QB hits, and under 50 rushing yards allowed yesterday. Weird timing for this take. Quote
