WTF does this have to do with anything pertaining to today’s game?!? 🙄

Umm, game was played on the exact same day (12/15) some 34 years ago featuring a non conference opponent that the Bills would later see in the Super Bowl. Many think this is a potential Super Bowl preview.

Scary thing about this game is the Bills defense got fully shredded last week and now are missing Rapp and Douglas, and maybe Hamlin too.

On the flip side, the defense did not even pretend to slow down the Rams in which Rapp, Douglas and Hamlin were a part of.  So could their replacements do any worse?!?

Really anxious to see how the team, mostly the defense, rebounds after last week.  The defense embarrassed themselves.  Do they have it in themselves to slow down one of the most potent offenses in the league?

Big day for this guy

Cornerback

Let's hope so.  We all know the secret sauce for the Bills defense are takeaways and 4th down conversion stuffs.  Gotta have some today to be successful on D.

This is gonna be a fun game to watch. At the beginning of the year I had this one as a loss. And Detroit is one of if not the best team this year and they play even better at home.

So, feels like this week we are playing with "house money" and if we lose, so be it. But a win would be really nice.

IMO, this game makes or breaks the season. I’m not discounting the Pats* & Jets, but Win, and we’re the likely #2 seed. Lose and it doesn’t really matter. We’ll only get 1 home playoff game then have to travel all the way to the Super Bowl.

Last week McD was quoted that they tried some man to man against the Rams but they drew some penalty flags. To me that is an issue. I don't care if the defense gets a couple of flags playing man to man. You stick with it. Force the refs to throw a flag on every play. They won't.

With the loss last week and the chiefs and steelers continuing to win, I'm seeing it the same way.

That seems a little premature.

Steelers have @ Eagles, @ Ravens, vs. Chiefs, vs. Bengals remaining.

This is spot on.  Take care of business vs Pats and Jets and today is almost irrelevant.

Agreed. Today has a big impact on 1 seed, depending on KC/CLE game. But independent of KC, a Bills loss, while depressing, still keeps us in a great spot for the 2 seed considering our remaining schedule and Pittsburgh's remaining schedule.

To me today is more of just seeing us on the road vs a sb contender.  Would like to see them not get down early but otherwise the 2 seed should be a lock

Cool to see the CBS pregame show outside of Ford Field, with the Bills and Lions helmets on the set.  Looks like a Super Bowl preview to me!

Although it looks dark and drizzly in Detroit today and it doesn't have the same festive atmosphere as we saw from the pregame show a few weeks ago in Orchard Park.  It's early though and Ford Field is an urban scene.  I don't know how much tailgating they do?   I've been to downtown Baltimore for games and the fans there do some awesome tailgating.

This is not a “critical” game for the Bills by any means (I think the loss in LA sufficiently scuttled realistic hopes for the 1 seed), but it is important for the defense to play better and have this be a competitive game.  We’re getting a bunch of guys back (so are they) and I think the Bills will hold the Lions to 24 or less.  If Josh plays like Josh, we win this one without having to sweat out an end-of-game scenario.

Go Bills!
