I see a lot of people in this topic don't appreciate what a great player Max Crosby is.

Maybe they simply haven't watched his career.

As an edge rusher, as a football player, as a leader, as a tough guy... he takes a back seat to no one.

Detroit will have Hutchinson back by then.   Raiders have the #1 or #2 pick and won't need to leverage him to get a QB.   No real reason for them to trade him.

I hope Crosby doesn't end up available for trade because I think Detroit would have an inside track.   Players of his quality and at this stage of career have a lot of say in where they get traded.

Why would Detroit trade for an aging pass rusher coming off an injury when they have arguably the best pass rusher in the league who's only 24 years old

To make it impossible to double both edge rushers.   Pass rush is second only to QB play in regard to impact on games.   Ideally, everyone wants 2.

It's why the Bills need a pass rusher opposite Rousseau even though Rousseau will get an extension or new contract well north of $20M aaa in the next 15 months.   Additionally, the age gap between Crosby and Hutchinson is good because you don't need to overlap top of the market contracts to have a top DE combo for 5-6 years.   Crosby will be getting the top dollar and then as his aav looks less than the best at the end of his deal,  Hutchinson would be getting top aav.   That is, if Hutchinson can prove to be as durable as Crosby or Garrett have been.

You’re never going to draft a DE as good as Maxx Crosby.

And he brings that intensity and motor that Buffalo just doesn’t have.

Saying he isn’t TJ Watt or Myles Garrett as if that’s the only bar that would make this team better is wild to me.

This is such a Drought era take, the “he’s not worth it” take.

I want a GM who hears Maxx Crosby is available and they’re out there trying to figure out how it would work.

Not, we’ll draft someone as save money.

What has Kincaid shown that tells anyone this?

He gets down the field meaningfully better than any of the other young Tight Ends in the league?

Max Crosby was a 4th Rd pick. I wouldn't even say that Crosby is better than Groots top ability. In fact it's not. The problem is Groot doesn't hit that level enough

I'll meet you half way and say if you want that game changing pass rusher it's Parsons. A drought era opinion is literally what you want here. The bills went all in on Mario Williams who was in reality a really good player not great.

Kincaid has shown repeat flashes and games that remind me of a young Kelce. I think he's going to go down as the second best pick in the Allen era

Greg Rousseau rushing from the left side this year has been among the most dominant defensive lineman in the NFL.

I like Crosby.

But is he going to look the same when McDermott puts a leash on him too?

He works wonders in the secondary, but with defensive line and our few LBs, the philosophy seems to be less about making impact plays and more about keeping in position, for lack of a better term.

Getting tired of hearing about how guys like Ed Oliver and Von Miller are actually playing well because they're staying in their lanes or occupying blockers effectively. That was never a standard for guys like Bruce Smith, Warren Sapp, etc. I'm not expecting everyone to be Reggie White, but I'd like a Phil Hansen.

Just out of curiosity…why do you think Dallas would trade the best player on their team (who’s 25 years old) to the Bills?  Does Jerry Jones feel bad for Buffalo, and want to make up for those two Super Bowls?

If we offer the Cornelius Bennett trade I think we should be able to get him.

There was reports on the bottom ticker that he could be traded

Elam, Rousseau, Kincaid. All future HoFers.

Would prefer to hit a home run on an edge rusher in the draft for once, even if it means trading up. Crosby is starting to get old and now injuries are mounting.

I’ll give it to you - you’re consistent in your sunshine views on everything.

I don’t know what “flashes” you’re referring to. Yes, he’s a smooth route runner and can be slippery after the catch.

Joe Marino wanted the passing game to be centered around him this season and that’s just not possible.

He’s a possession Tight End.
