BADOLBILZ Posted December 14 Posted December 14 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42971713/sources-raiders-crosby-likely-season-ending-surgery As a team in re-build with a new coaching staff(most likely) I can see this first sign of wear being a tipping point for the Raiders to seriously consider trading Crosby. Bills will certainly be back in the market for a difference making RDE. But Crosby is also a Michigan native and I expect the storyline to be about the Lions trading for him. The back of round one has always been a sneaky good spot for good teams to trade for difference makers. Like when Philly fleeced Buffalo of future HoF LT Jason Peters. Myles Garrett will also most likely be having offseason foot surgery which could more incline Cleveland to move him as well. It's a deep draft for DL ........but that's about the only position that's deep........so wouldn't be surprised to see a record for DL selected in rounds 1 and 2. 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 15 Posted December 15 A couple more embarrassing losses and Cleveland may blow it up Quote

Stefanski can coach imo. If they can him, I would expect him to get HC offers right away. 1 1 Quote
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted December 15 Posted December 15 Would prefer to hit a home run on an edge rusher in the draft for once, even if it means trading up. Crosby is starting to get old and now injuries are mounting. 4 5 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted December 15 Posted December 15 It would make sense for the Raiders to get something of value for him to help the rebuild. But it's the Raiders and I expect Bowl Cut Davis to keep him. And Crosby staunchly wants to remain a Raider Quote

stuvian Posted December 15 Posted December 15 He's still young enough to contribute meaningfully. I suspect his "surgery" is a desire not to get hurt playing meaningless exhibition games. It will cost top dollar. After the money we wasted on Von Miller I don't see us making such a move 2 Quote
HomeTeam Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I don't think the Browns are trading the Garrett. He's beloved and the face of that franchise. 1 Quote

I think there is a bit more urgency to “go all in “ again as Josh will be 29 next season and surely even he will eventually start slowing down in the next couple of years …if they don’t win it this year , then they should be thinking about moves like this … Crosby is 27 … wouldn’t say he is “old” …provided he recovers from the injury he has got 4 more high end years at a minimum … and his contract for the next 2 years is manageable and you can walk away after that if need be…if you sign a top end free agent then you will be likely committed longer than two years Of course I would prefer to draft the next version of Crosby or TJ Watt …but that’s obviously harder to do picking in the late 20s every year.. you are likely getting someone that still needs some seasoning when they need someone to hit the ground running … 3 Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted December 15 Posted December 15 If Crosby ever became available I would love for the Bills to make a play for him. IMO he's right up there with TJ Watt and Myles Garrett... and should still have plenty of good years left. 2 Quote

If we don’t, the plan HAS to be “how do we win a SB in the next two seasons if we disregard everything else.” Every year Josh plays and doesn’t win a SB, the chance of it happening in his career only goes one direction. 3 Quote

Yes - this is the urgency we need. Not - ehh 27-year old Maxx Crosby is not quite good enough to be a Buffalo Bill when the team is bringing back 33 year old Micah Hyde, 31 year old Jordan Phillips, 32 year old Daquan Jones, 31 year old Quinton Jefferson, 35 year old Von Miller. Maxx Crosby - ehh he’s not good enough for our Buffalo Bills. What ? Edited December 15 by Straight Hucklebuck 2 Quote
Kelly to Allen Posted December 15 Posted December 15 It's going to cost too much. And he's very good but he's not prime Von or Bruce. Keep drafting dline imo 5 hours ago, Straight Hucklebuck said: Yes - this is the urgency we need. It's not that he's not good enough, it's the cost is too prohibitive for the actual return you will get He's not Myles Garrett or prime DeMarcus Ware Quote
Doc Brown Posted December 15 Posted December 15 I'd be all for it as a lack of a true game wrecker at Defensive End has been the common missing ingredient imo to getting to the Super Bowl the last four seasons. Crosby is absolutely that. I just think the Raiders value him too much as the heart and sole of that team. I doubt he's available for trade. Quote
