I’m retired and live in an army community, but throughout my 30 years I never really got excited about the army - navy game, understand the draw of tradition.

I didn’t read all of this but I always found MLB all-star Game to be the worst sports day of the year.  And the day before and after…void!!!

With an unfortunate outcome. I can assure you, having a tab up on my iPad so I can check the score is FAR less riveting than actually watching, but I’ve drawn a line, finally.

 

Xavier lost a Big who would have started to an ACL right before the season, and that’s where we were shallow to begin with.

I decided not to watch the Cricket Celebration Bowl.  I suppose it is so named because the sponsor is Cricket Wireless, but I couldn't help wonder who would want to celebrate crickets.

Tough loss. Fremantle had a great look but it just didn’t fall. Other opportunities missed for sure.

At least in late July or Labor Day weekend, we’re likely distracted by summer vacation type stuff.  So takes the sting out of it.  I for one love the horse racing at Saratoga as well, but I know that’s not everyone’s cup of tea.

I had the same thought watching the game yesterday. You’d also have an issue if one of these teams were undefeated playoff bound, then lose in this game. Wouldn’t this create likely controversy about the playoff bid? I’m confused if this is basically an exhibition in the mind of the playoff committee?
