Na bills made it way too easy.

Getting gashed in the run the first two drives cause they played light boxes, giving up easy passes cause they played soft zone the first half. Predictable blitzes. 0 pass rush. The list goes on and on

You don't think Puca was making incredible catches?

There’s a weird dynamic in the league where the decision to re-sign a QB is either top market value or almost nothing. There’s not a lot of middle ground contracts - Geno Smith at somewhere around $33M/yr is the only one that I can think of. How much does Carr make? He could be the 2nd. You can re-sign Purdy, but it would have to be a middle type contract, nothing nowhere near $50M+/yr.

Well if I’m the niners, I wouldn’t pay Purdy. He’s a game manager and can make some nice throws. But he certainly isn’t worth spending $50 mil per season on.

Agree. He is very average. He’s not Gardner Minshew. But Purdy can’t win you a game by himself.

He was, agreed.

Like I said it was a combination of everything. Rams were on fire plus the bills had a horrible defensive game plan and couldn't win any 1 on 1 battles in the trenches or in the secondary

I hope the Rams hang on.  I think they will be more of a threat in the NFC playoffs than the 49ers if they get there.  The Niners seem so beaten up and old.  It’s not their year.  Stafford is having an off night vs a team that knows what he’s gonna do on every pass.  But he will ball out in playoff games

Not even close...

But a bird in the hand ... Worth 2 in the bush

He's like a healthier less talented Tua. You can definitely do worse than Purdy but the cost to keep him is going to be painful

Generally I’m with you but tonight Stafford seems to be flirting with danger

I just don't trust Purdy.  Never have.  Small hands.

the gap is often the number of years guaranteed.

the pay is a yes/no question of are you starting. The length is the are we confident you will stay off the bench,

either you are a bonafide starter or you are paid as a starter but on an audition duration.
