So, I am going to be in town for Christmas...my dear sister (who has never been to a Bills game) got us a pair of tickets for the Jets game.  Parking is expensive as hell...just wondering, has anyone here ever taken the Game Day Express to and from for a game?  It's only $5 each way... anyone know if it gets packed?  I haven't lived in Buffalo in about 35 years, but my memories of NFTA are not great.  Is it worth it?

I never took it but I think they have routes from various places, the closest to the stadium being theMcKinley Mall.

Yes I just did it for the first time . Highly recommend. I didn’t take the bus to the stadium my wife dropped us off. So my experience is only leaving. The bus basically gets a police escort to the thruway and you are home pretty quick. UB station.

good to see you around!

there are some lots up way down Abbott that are worth parking at. Some as low as $20. If you are going West, South, or working your way around to go North they cane be a good option. You can clear traffic in 10 minutes vs. an hour parking further toward the stadium.

Meadowland & Abbott has some places that are about a mile away so you'll walk but you get out of traffic so damn fast.

I don’t know of anyone that has taken it. I wouldn’t recommend it though because control when leaving is crucial. Coming to the stadium is easy because the times are so staggered. I usually arrive 4:30 hours before kickoff. I can get there in 23 minutes from my house.

When the game ends the experience can be vastly different. We have mastered the egress since childhood. You need to be purposeful and swift. I can get home in under 30 minutes while seeing the whole game if done correctly. The second that the game is decided we head to the gate. There are no bathroom stops allowed at that point. Lol, sometimes Jessica struggles with this. If you have to go, use the 2 minute warning. If the game is 1 sided it is much less important as the stadium empties at different times. Park as close to the exit of your lot as you can. Get in your car. Don’t mess around and get into the street. If McKinley is a part of your route home, cut through the parking lot by Wegmans. Get to the Thruway. You won’t regret it. It can legitimately save up to 2+ hours if done correctly. Getting stuck after is the absolute worst. Last tip, absolutely, 100% DO NOT park in a stadium lot. It is a nightmare.

It gets a back door exit and breezes by traffic

It was easy peasy when I took it

My man. Listen I have taken game day express a few times. Good deal. It’s definitely cheap transportation and it’s good.

but I found Rally. $80 gets u picked up on a like charter bus that you would take on a trip that has a bathroom and takes you home. I believe there is a $40 add on for a dry tail gate and $80 add on for a tail gate that you can drink at. Can drink on the bus. Not packed. Usually doesn’t sell out. I took it to And from the 49ers game and was very pleased with it.

last time I took game day express (and I don’t think it had the police escort last year so maybe different) but after the game was in the parking lot waiting to get out for like an hour and a half or two with it being PACKKKEDD and no bathroom. Rally is not packed and has comfortable seating. It’s kind of like sitting in the 300 vs sitting I. The 200s club section. Highly recommend rally based off of one trip.

Real men park at the 7 Eleven in Lackawanna then walk, it's only 4 miles.

Made that trek once, only in reverse, it wasn’t planned.

Got “lost” at a Peter Frampton concert there. It was a long strange walk.

I haven't been to a Bills game in years, but i wish this service was available back then cause those parking lots were always a nightmare to get out of when leaving.

I have taken it from Eastern Hills Mall. It was on time and it fills up quickly.  Get there early. The only issue is sitting for 90 minutes after the game waiting to get out,  but you'd be doing that  if you parked in the stadium lots anyway. I'd definitely do it again.

When I had season tickets (1980-1988- i got out just in time!) we used to go to a local bar (Fletchers) and they had their own bus that drove people out there...it was something like $15 per person, with a few kegs...all the beer you could drink.  It was awesome...they didn't know I was a minor the first 3 years or so!

I was at a Frampton concert there, and I remember seeing a guy walking by in a daze!  Or, maybe it was a mirror. Hard to say at this point, but I know I got home somehow.

This game day express thing sounds ideal if it actually works. If you can’t have the stadium downtown, make it easy to get from downtown to the stadium. The driving and parking, then drinking and having to return home, is not my favorite part of the day. I’ve enjoyed cities like Nashville and Cincinnati where I can just stroll from my hotel to the game, then wander back when it’s over.
