It gave me vertigo. And what's up with all the Williamses? One year we had 5 of them! Should have just renamed the team the Buffalo Williams! Seems too formal... if only there was a shorter nickname for William(s)...🤔 1 1 Quote

In my rusty worldview, 43 is not a linebacker number (although those as old as me will remember #32 Mike Curtis, an all-pro linebacker for the Baltimore Colts). And the names are too similar for my addled brain to sort out. I think (again, for the older crowd) that I'm still confused because of the famous surgeon who performed the first heart transplant, Christian Barnard, and I have that name stuck in my head. But that was back in 1967 so by now... well never mind. I forgot what I was going to say. Anyway, Go Bills! And Go Heart Transplants! I agree that I get those two mixed up on the field. They're not terribly different in size (both 6'1", Benford 205, Bernard 225), their numbers are similar, and their names are similar. Bernard often drops back to help in pass coverage and Benford often steps up to help with the run. Fortunately, they both make a fair number of big plays, so I really don't care which one is which, as long as they keep making plays! Quote
Mister Defense Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Wow, that is awful, exceedingly embarrassing, to the point I am shocked you posted it. My own embarrassing mistaken name confusion is not nearly as bad. Up until yesterday, with the announcement on here that it was Hailey Steinfeld's birthday, I had thought Josh Allen's girlfriend/finance was Jerry Seinfeld's daughter, and not the actress. She is a real actress, talented too. True Grit, Edge of Seventeen etcetera. And at over 22 million net worth is likely not into Josh because of his mega money. Go Josh! 1 Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted December 12 Posted December 12 My buddy used to accidentally call Coy Wire "Corey Wire". Coy is a weird name, I'll give him that much. Quote

And then #42 Dorian Williams gets in the mix as another small LB, and I cant tell any of the 3 of them apart. Regardless of what you thought of his play, you could always pick Edmunds out of a crowd! He looked like the big brother out there! . Edited December 12 by Augie 1 1 Quote

He was always the 1st to raise the fist indicating 4th down, while usually having nothing to do with the play 😃 Quote

For the longest time, I kept thinking when I'd hear either name, "wait, is that the LB or the CB?". And, since my father's first name is Bernard (Bernie), I bought my father a Bernard jersey for his 100th birthday back in August. He wears it now when he watches Bills games. So, now, I just remember that my dad is wearing the LB's jersey. 5 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 12 Posted December 12 Isn't Ingram 46? When he is on the field I can't tell him apart from Benford. Quote
