chongli Posted December 11 Posted December 11 https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42911093/nfl-play-regular-season-game-berlin-1st-2025 Excerpt: "The game will be played at the Olympic Stadium. It will be the fifth regular-season game played in Germany. The NFL has played games in Munich and Frankfurt since the 2022 season. From 1990 to 1994, the NFL played five American Bowl games at Olympic Stadium and the venue also was home to the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe from 2003 to 2007. Beginning next season, the NFL can schedule up to eight international regular-season games per season. The NFL has already announced it will play two games at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London and one game in Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium." 1 7 1 1 Quote
MikePJ76 Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Its going to be great in a few years when the super bowl is in Barcelona and pay per view. The NFL's greed has no end. They would play a game on the moon if it were profitable. 5 1 1 4 1 1 Quote
Gregg Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I just hope the Bills don't have to play in one of these games next year. I don't think they have won one yet. If they do I hope the Bills are the "road" team. It would be a shame to have to forfeit a home game. 2 1 Quote

I'd be ok with an overseas SuperBowl. 99.9% of common fans can't afford SuperBowl tickets anwyas and are watching from home. The crowd is always celebs and corporate folks anyways. 2 1 Quote
Captain Hindsight Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Bills are gonna play there on a short week 1 Quote
Ethan in Cleveland Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Germany is next on my list of European countries to see. There are better cities and places to see in Germany than Berlin, but I would probably go to this game if Bills were in it. 1 Quote
BritBill Posted December 11 Posted December 11 Unless they erect temporary seating on the athletics track it'll be an horrendous venue to watch a game. 1 Quote

Also re your comment on the SB on PPV: the NFL would lose money because less people would see it This is what Google AI said: "The NFL is unlikely to make the Super Bowl a pay-per-view (PPV) event: Fan response A Harris Poll survey found that only 28% of NFL fans would be very likely to purchase a PPV Super Bowl. 68% of NFL fans said they would try to find a way to watch the game without paying. Impact on the NFL A PPV Super Bowl would likely lead to piracy and have a negative impact on the NFL. Free-to-air TV The Super Bowl is the most-watched live TV broadcast, and it's unlikely to be exclusively on a streaming service for the next 20 to 25 years" Edited December 11 by chongli 2 Quote

If there were convenient flights to the moon I would definitely go there for a game. 2 Quote

Well, they did win against the Eagles in 1991 at Wembley Stadium in London, but in the other two in the UK, they lost both times to Jacksonville. 2 Quote

And I do think it's cool we have non-American Bills fans; Goodell is partially responsible. A moon game, with 1/6th gravity, would be interesting. Punters would love it. 1 1 2 Quote

mannc Posted December 11 Posted December 11 I'm not a fan of these overseas games, but Berlin is an awesome city...if the Bills were in this game, it would be a great roadtrip...highly recommended. 1 Quote
