I only care about #2 seed. If we get there, we beat kc at their place

I don't think KC is making it out of the divisional the way they are playing right now.  Its a dangerous way to live.

It’s the knee jerk reaction from the rams game mostly…which didn’t even look like we treated it like a playoff game anyway tbh.  Josh had opportunities to run in the first half and prioritized his health and trusted the defense to get some stops (probably shouldn’t have done that second thing 😂)

Milano would’ve gotten pulled for Williams in a playoff game too I’d think but we seem to be prioritizing trying to get Milano up to speed for the playoffs.  Kincaid and Coleman likely would’ve both played through injury if that was a playoff game too

I don’t even think we lose to Stafford/nacua’s best shot if we played that game under playoff conditions

I did have a knee jerk  reaction to the Rams game.  But since before the season began through mid season and until now I've been singing the same song: We'll win the AFCE but probably bow out in the playoffs before the SB because  the roster just isn't good enough.

Yet, as a fan, I also hold out hope because it's not true in the NFL that the best team hoists the Lombardi each year.  Lady Luck has a say.  If we're healthy in January when other teams are not, if the refs favor us on a few subjective calls, if tipped balls go our way...  we may have a chance to win it all.

Yea I can’t disagree with the second paragraph. I wouldn’t try to argue we’re the best roster.  still think we match up well with kc though and im more worried about some other teams ironically enough 🤣. If things stay where they’re at seeding wise the afc run is about as favorable as it could be. Baltimore goes to kc and probably gets knocked out then we get pit then kc. Wouldn’t be too shocked if we got to the Super Bowl and lost as it stands now which is why a win over the lions would be so huge optics wise

Lucks a huge factor…could screw you over when you have the best team and bail you out when you don’t.  a hypothetical team way better than the rest of the playoff field that’s got an 80/20 win probability in each game still is just a coin flip to go on a Super Bowl run which is crazy to think about

Movin' on from the last game.  I guarantee you the team and coaches have as they have no choice but to prepare for the next game.  So should the fan base.

Throw the film away and lets get on with the next game.

Everyone on this board, in August, would have taken 10-3 at this juncture.

Who do you see us losing the Super Bowl too? Detroit maybe but they do have questions on defense, the Eagles while good in the regular season haven't been world beaters in the post season consistently and then you have everyone else who to me are beatable. Coleman and Kincaid returning, more the latter, could allow us to have more slow move the chain type drives to chew up clock and keep our defense fresh which has worked most of this season.

Idk that we’d definitely lose if we got that far haha that was mostly to say I think Philly or Detroit are a little tougher matchup wise than the current AFC field.  I still really don’t trust Goff though but he can make me eat those words this week 😂

Did people really take the Jets and Dolphins that serious?

Not me, but there were quite a few "experts" out there saying the Jets & Dolphins were going to fight for the division title.

E: as in… young draft picks stepping up when given chance

WR Keon age 21 rookie B+

great season till Poyer

S Bishop age 22 rookie D

not much impact, ST play seems good

ED Solomon age 23 rookie C

2 sacks earlier this season

DT Carter age 24 rookie

wrist injury jinx - high variance

RB Davis age 25 rookie B

dominated Jets game then

LB Dorian age 23 year 2 A

flies to the ball & doesn’t do any Rapp level friendly fire

TE Kincaid age 25 year 2 C

Seems injury prone and is a very old guy

CB Elam age 23 year 3 C

2 picks in playoffs on pace for Woodson’s playoff INT record 9

ED Rousseau age 24 year 4 B

Still younger than some rookies & year 2 guys - great against run, good enough against pass, due to Oliver drop off needs to be more dominant as a pass rusher

Elam and Kincaid both with C, interesting

This Detroit game will be the tell tale story of the season. Lions are similarly built like the Rams with the exception of Stafford. I'm curious to see how they bounce back

Seeding does matter:

#1 Seed is obviously a huge advantage because of the bye week and being at home throughout.

#2 Seed gives you two home games.

#3 and 4 give you at least one home game

I tend to agree who we play does matter as much. Playing BAL, PIT, HOU, LAC, DEN is not all that different. I would say best case is the 2 seed and playing DEN (rookie QB). PIT beats BAL for us and we play PIT. Then if KC gets past HOU/LAC its on to KC.

I agree.  Good teams learn much much more from games like LAR than they ever learn from games like the 49ers.  D line play was the Achilles Heal against the Rams.  This film should give McD plenty of ammo to get the D-line to refocus.

I also have this weird, wonderful feeling that this may be the year. I have not had this vibe since the 90's.

It's almost like destiny for our team.

it’s like the lyrics of Mr. Brightside: “destiny is calling me!”

I'm enjoying the heck out of this season...even the loss to the Rams. And I love this iteration of the Buffalo Bills.

The saddest thing to me is that I think I want the Bills to win the Super Bowl more now just to quiet all of the McD haters rather than because I'm a life-long Bills fan and have hoped to see it my whole life. God forbid we lose in the playoffs---there will be like 5-10 Fire McDermott posts per day for a whole year (mostly from the same posters that predicted 8 or 9 wins and possibly missing the playoffs in a rebuilding year...but definitely let's not give Sean any credit for the team exceeding expectations this year...anything good must be someone else...Josh, Brady, Babich, etc., only the bad things are down to McDermott apparently).

I wouldn’t be throwing the towel on the #1 seed.  He Chiefs have…

Browns

Texans

Steelers

Broncos

We need to win Sunday.  We will win the last 3.  So this Sunday matters.  They are really hurt, and have looked good against bad teams.  We’ll see as I’m not into conceding.  We lose Sunday, then ok, it’s #2 or 3rd based on what happens with the Steelers.  They have a tough schedule as well.

The other thread on the signature losses since 2020, then going undefeated I hope the pattern continues.

Just hang on guys.  One more Sunday, before you throw in the towel.  One helpful sign even in a loss is how Cooper is coming around in synergy with Allen.  Yeah, the defensive line was horrible last week, making the LB’s and DB’s look terrible as there was no push from the front four.  I was sickened by their crap performance so I don’t have rose colored glasses.

We really need Coleman back this week so I’m praying he gets in the field.  We can live without Kinkaid for now with Knox available.  It’s so imperative with this Detroit team, we have a healthy Cooper, Coleman and Shakir, along with Knox, and our stable of backs.  Milano will be fine Sunday as long as again our D Line does its freakin job.  Did I mention I was disgusted with their crap performance.  It made the next two waves look bad with the Rams. Getting routinely to the second level.

I can’t think about that game anymore.  We crapped the bed.  Moving on.

I will say if Allen after Sunday doesn’t get the MVP, screw them.  HES THE BEST QB IN THE NFL!

Regular season doesn't matter, only what we do in the postseason matters.

It will be like this until Allen retires most likely.

I don't care what seed unless it's the 1 seed, they need to get it done in the playoffs, especially on D/ST.

I am on the record as saying they would not do much this season. I have been pleasantly surprised up to this point, and I hope they can bring a playoff game or two to Buffalo now. That being said, just the fact that they won the division already makes this a much better season than I was anticipating.

It's all gravy for me.
