The Bengals might be leading the NFL in passing, but they lost 16-10 to the Patriots. Scored 17 against the Giants, 17 against the Eagles, 21 against the Browns.

 

Several games were a shootout against good teams... of which they lost nearly all of them.

 

Those shootout games lend themselves to huge QB statistic games and passing game scripts, which equal sacks.

 

Boom. There's your answer. A non-playoff team with great aggregate statistics.

Bills could use a lot of stuff - a ballhawk in the secondary, another great pass rusher, a better #2 corner, a better answer than the pair of DaQuan Jones and Ed Oliver, a 1st Round TE that played like one, Ja’Marr Chase at WR1.

I can't wait for Zac Taylor to make the team go 7-10 and the owner keeps him on another year.  The guy is NOT a good head coach.  He had a great DC for their Super Bowl run, but he is not even an average level head coach in this league.  Poor starts and a lack of execution year after year.

Usually it is, but the Bengals don't have elite coaching. The rest of their team beyond those 3 are playing poorly.  Even Tee has dropped off.  The Angels lost every game with Trout & Ohtani.  It happens....

Just an example you cannot just go by stats.  Look at Josh's stats Sunday...when you are behind, you can put up big numbers but if another guy is on a team that is always winning he may not put up those same numbers.  You have to look at the whole picture.

A lot of damage Burrow and Chase make is straight up stat padding after the team is behind and they are in comeback mode.

Defense. They have one of the worst in the league. Outside of Hendrickson nobody has done jack. 

 

They have lost 4 games they scored 30+ and lost 6 games they scored 25. Better D and they could be a 2 loss team.

At least he has Super Bowl appearance (vs McVay) and 1-1 vs Chiefs in AFCCG and demolished Bills in Buffalo in playoffs
