Hamlin ain’t making an impact anyway. I said earlier in the season ya knew what they had in him and it wasn’t good enough. Hyde might be an improvement over him. Bishop learning on Sundays doesn’t seem to be the way McD wants to do with him. 1 Quote

Pretty sure we’re all concerned with the side of the ball that constantly lets us down when it matters and is led by a front running DL who rarely meet the moment. That said.. there are no offenses like the Rams or Lions in the AFC Playoffs (outside CIN who are sitting at 1% chance to make it) Playoffs ! But in the SB there will be. I hope Hyde has some quality input for this back end and LBs now he is back in the House ! Not sure I would put him on the field yet. Regardless of Rapp likely out. The Dline should be the focus. 1 minute ago, LABILLBACKER said: Why not...they can't do any worse than last week. It's not like we're generating a pass rush against Goff anyway. Save Hyde, for the same reasons you mention. Let him help out on the sideline for now. Bishop is up Quote

But what I see is a coach whose defense has failed spectacularly in the playoffs twice. Yes injuries were a factor. Detroit is winning right now with worse injuries than we had. I think we need to face that our coach is a regular season guy. He can't get us over the hump. And we can't waste Allen's career. Yes. But the NFC does have offenses as good. Eagles, Rams, Lions, maybe even Packers will smoke our defense in the superbowl. Injuries were more than a factor, they were a huge reason. And the word is "could." "Might," maybe. Not "will." We don't need to "face" anything. We should probably understand that that's your opinion. It's an opinion with some evidence behind it, but that evidence is very far from conclusive. 1 Quote
Solomon Grundy Posted December 14 Posted December 14 The difference I saw with the Rams game was that the Niners threw off their timing and the Bills didn't. Against the Bills, Stafford released the ball every time he got his back foot on his drops. Not so much against the Niners Quote

Jimmy Harris 69 Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Number one, this defense is not better with Matt Milano in the line up. It’s been worse since he has been in the line up. The snow was the 12 and 13th man against the niners. It was the difference maker in that game. Williams is the better player. As for last week, the entire defensive game plan was ill advised, poorly executed and lacked timely adjustments. Stafford comes in with the most hits of any qb and we don’t lay a finger on him. Yet we come within a minute of victory only to have bad strategy wipe out our last chance. I’ve hoped for more plays for Lewis Cine all year but he only had 9 last week. It seems likely that Bishop and Ingram will get snaps. The missing millionaires up front will hopefully find their arses, if not Detroit will score a bunch of points. 2 2 Quote
97bills Posted December 14 Posted December 14 Bills fans got to learn to let go, I rather see bishop, at least he has upside. 1 1 Quote

Obviously that was my opinion. Maybe McDermott isn't the problem and its more personnel? I don't know. Opinions generate discussions. The point of a message board. But i certainly dont want to be pondering this question in 2035 when Allen is ready to retire. Allen is much more important than McD. Quote

Disgusting. We lost the game because the defense couldn’t stop the Rams offense, it is really that simple, GO BILLS!!! Quote

Not so much against the Niners Bosa is a nice piece to have when you're trying to throw off a QB's timing, Bills don't have anyone close to Bosa among their edges. 22 minutes ago, Don Otreply said: We lost the game because the defense couldn’t stop the Rams offense, it is really that simple, GO BILLS!!! Our long snapper got knocked 6 yards backwards before the punter could get the kick off is another good reason. We invest so much on special teams for fiasco's like that. 1 Quote

This season isn’t about letting young guys learn. If Hyde is best next man up, he plays. If not, then whoever it is. Quote
