we have some pure athletes in the back end, williams, bishop, and elam, but mcd's scheme is too complicated for them, or he's too much of a picky peter for them to get burn.

he's gotta go to war with the army he's got.  milano is not back, williams was a monster (he slowed down a bit when he hurt his knee, but i think he's fine now), bishop was trash with a couple huge mistakes but he can learn to fix that, hamlin can't learn to be an athlete like bishop is, and elam is our fastest and most athletic corner with good man skills.  they have to take their lumps rotating in williams and milano and playing bishop and elam (on rotation is fine) to get them up to speed vs all these crummy offenses we blow out so that we have some kind of answer vs a team like the rams.

if you want results you haven't gotten you need to do things you haven't done, and the anti mcd brigade (I'm a member) just think he's too stubborn to realize this.

Don't forget Daequan Hardy. He's also a great athlete that I wish was on the active roster and was rotating in. He looked awesome in the preseason and his speed / athletic ability jumped off the screen

In order to win a super bowl obviously your QB has to be the reason.

Secondarily you need blue chip athletes making a few plays

and now it looks like the Bills solution to the Lions passing game is Ingram at corner, in for Douglas.   yikes.  he will get roasted.

Josh will need to put up 40+ to win this one.

Need Philly to handle Steelers so we can hang onto #2 seed

Never felt good about the Rams game and I really don't feel good about the Lions game

There were times Bills DB’s seemingly ran blindly to spots in zones when nobody was anywhere near only to look up and see Nacua standing alone in front of them. It had a comedic look like “oh, you’re over there”.

I saw that too. Coach doesnt game plan. Personally I think hes lazy as I have no clue what they do in that stadium as its obviously not game planning because if they are they get slammed every 1st half this year. Allen also is fed up. I dont want a Cub Scout coaching this team. I am a man of God, I belivev in God and God doesnt seem to like McDermott. See big game results. The last two Defenses I loved to watch in Buffalo were Jim Schwarz and Mike Pettine. Best O game planning IMO was Chuck Knox and he was also skewered for not winning the big games. I like waht McDermott has doen but its time to move on.

Exactly. What I hate is a guy who coaches like a loser and doesnt even try an adjustment. Its been ongoing for 7 years. WTF he did in 13 seconds he pulled that stunt again this year against Texans final drive. This guy doesnt learn squat and he lies to the public and Bills fans. about it.

Unfortunately your post loses credibility when you say Nakua is "not that good", but offer no support for that contention, a key element in your reasoning.

He played one full year in the NFL and had 105 catches,  1,486 yards,  at 14.2 yards per catch.

By any objective standard that indicates he is an excellent receiver, and definitely no one who knows about football would ever say he "is not that good".

He made many excellent catches, some superlative, and sometimes with excellent defensive coverage.

Yes, the Bills definitely need to figure some things out on defense, and quickly, to play better defense against the best offense in the league  this coming Sunday.  But the Rams likely HOF quarterback and kick a** receivers played their best game of the year.  Hopefully you don't also consider Kupp "not that good"!

An all-time NFL record for rookie receivers...

They tried more man to man and bitzing for pressure and the defense was obviously worse when they did.

Haven't listened to Joe this week but see my post above. That correlates with what I saw.

Yet the McDermott haters can’t help themselves making stuff up with no real facts behind it

Bishop missed a ton of practice.  You don't get any 1st team reps after that, and then you come out in relief and play a pair of terrible games against baltimore and houston and... yeah you sort of missed your shot to push people down the depth chart.  Communication was an issue in his time playing, and you usually create that chemistry in practice.

ya, i get why he didn't start right away, but they can't find a package for him?  my issue is mcd is so stubborn with his personnel and scheme it's just impossible for him to adapt.  aj klien over dorian vs kc in the playoffs last year, elam getting zero burn despite being one of our few CBs to get picks in the playoffs, it makes me think mcd leaving a lot of meat on the bone wrt player development.

this guy had peterman start over allen.
