There were times Bills DB’s seemingly ran blindly to spots in zones when nobody was anywhere near only to look up and see Nacua standing alone in front of them. It had a comedic look like “oh, you’re over there”.

Last night was a coaching clinic by McVay, everything and anything he wanted his Offense to do, they did with little to no resistance.

Josh and the Offense deserved a win, the defense should be embarrassed and give their pay to charity, they didn't earn it and the "Not so" Special Teams gave up a TD on a blocked punt, ST has sucked all season.

Facing the Lions Offense this Sunday after yesterdays Defensive meltdown feels like a daunting task, especially since we let them run so we can concentrate on stopping the pass ... oops... That won't work vs the Lions.

We did not let them run to focus on the pass outside of the first couple drives to start the game.  In fact it looked much closer to the opposite the rest of the way and Stafford made some incredible throws

im kind of happy we got forced into that philosophical shift in the regular season to be honest…right before the lions is as good a time as any for that to happen

Get outa here with that bolded part... all 31 other teams have been getting the same soft zone package since the day McD arrived here. NOTHING has changed so there is no so-called blueprint required. It's the same "bend don't break - soft zone" crap every week with the exception of the one game they ran man coverage that worked great... but unfortunately that scheme got put on the shelf once again!

Last night i think they bailed on the man coverage too early. We will never know if it would of worked better than the Go ahead and abuse the zone Zone we ran.

i actually thought Puka was more deadly when we were in man.

Our zone is incredibly vulnerable. Factor in zero pass rush from our litany of Jags and Nacua was guaranteed to sit down in our zone  and be wide open. Stafford wasn't pressured at all.

Brady kept saying how the combo of Stafford (savvy vet) and Puka/Kupp was just too much for our zone D. We needed to mix it up more.

Stafford actually got pressured some, but he was so comfortable with his reads on our D that he just chucked it to the open spot before he got sacked.

The Bills couldn't stop the run either, especially in the first half.

That was a rough game against an O that is finally healthy and in sync.

We didn't look great against SF either, but got bailed out by TOs.

I hate to say it, but Milano might need to sit a little more until fully healthy and up to speed.  We also could use Hyde for Hamlin from a coverage standpoint against better passing teams.

Stafford and Nacua have probably not had, and will not have, an easier game in their whole careers. Defensive play calling and execution was shown up for what it was, and it happens all too often against good offenses.

If your blueprint relies on a first ballot HOF QB playing one of the very best games of his entire career, then there might not be a whole lot of teams that can use it.

But what does it say when OUR quarterback puts up 6 touchdowns and still loses the game?

We can't expect Allen to play at that kind of level every week.

I sat at SOFI with 30k of our Bills brethren and watched this guy Torch our defense and Babich never made any adjustment to account for him. never slid help and I watched him find soft spots in our zone because there was no pass rush whatsoever.

Nakua is not that good and he looked like a hall of famer. The worst part is our zone is now exposed and teams have a blueprint.

“Nukua is not that good.”

By what measure?

The Bills adjustments were to send more pressure at Stafford because the D-Line couldn't generate any without extra men and Stafford was throwing at an elite level yesterday without the pressure. When they sent more men to pressure the CBs were unable to stop Nacua or Kupp 1 on 1.

It says our defense is a problem.

If they can't hold a zone together any better than that, they will get eaten alive in the playoffs.

Ok ok I checked on him. He’s statistically WAY better than I thought. He was hurt a while so kind of forgot he existed .

Additionally, not every team has WRs like Nacua and Cupp. Maybe the Dolphins and the Bengals. We aren’t likely to encounter either in the playoffs.

The Dolphins don't have the QB or Line, and the Bengals definitely don't have the line. The team we match up the worst too is Ravens if they get a lead.

Saying Puka Nacua is "not that good" is absolutely ludicrous. In just a season and a half of NFL Football, he's accounted for 2,318 yards and 10 TD's. The guy was an All Pro last season as a Rookie. His 162 yards against us wasn't his highest or even his 2nd highest Receiving total in a single game in that only a year and a half of play. He's one of the best WR's in Football.

Should we have fared better against him and made adjustments? Yes. But if you weren't concerned about him heading into this game and believe he's "not that good" - you must not pay much attention to the NFL outside of Buffalo Bills football.

Once the line got washed out in the first quarter run game the defense was hamstrung as it create a chain reaction that led to them being basically unstoppable on offense.

If you can't stop the run on first down you're not even gonna get to 3rd down to put out a pass rush. The run + play action stuff led to Puka and Kupp with favorable coverages.

2nd half? That's really where the the Bills getting trounced in Pass rush and then Puka + Kupp saying ***** y'all DBs I'm just making plays came in.

In the 2nd half the Rams converted the following:

Drive 1

3rd and 10 (Puka for 17)

3rd and 6 (Puka DPI and got 7 anyways)

3rd and 3 (Goal to go)

Drive 2

3rd and 6 (Puka for 24)

3rd and 3 (Kupp for 17 and TD)

Drive 3

3 and out

Drive 4

3rd and 9 (Puka DPI)

4th and 5 (Tutu for 11)

3rd and 5 (Puka Screen TD)

Like they only had 2 favorable 3rd downs! That's a combo of poor pass rush and elite QB to WR play

We just don't have the talent. This is something that;s been apparent for this defense since week 1. It takes scheme and the offense getting a lead to overcome, and once the Rams jumped on the Bills the lack of talent was exposed.

Scheme can only take you so far.

The Rams offense has scored 30 points once all season.  They typically struggle to get over 20 points.  They are not a good offense.

They haven't had Puka and Cooper on the field at the same time most of the season.
