njbuff Posted Monday at 09:20 PM Posted Monday at 09:20 PM After yesterday’s loss, the regular season doesn’t mean that much anymore. Finishing 2nd, 3rd or 4th doesn’t matter as they will open the playoffs at home. Trying to be as HEALTHY as possible for the playoffs is the goal now. 2 Quote

Health is definitely important, but I think getting the #2 seed is also important. After last night the #1 seed is probably unrealistic at this point. But getting the #2 seed would allow the Bills to play WC weekend and the divisional round at home. Better shot to make the AFCCG this way. Who knows maybe KC gets beat in the divisional round and the Bills get to host that game as well. 5 Quote

It’s a chance to play at home if the 1 stumbles. 3 or 4 is not as big of a deal. 2 1 Quote

Would we rather host a team like the Steelers, Ravens or Texans in the Divisional Round, or go to their place? And then there’s the chance of still hosting the AFCCG, like you said. I’m not conceding the 1 seed yet either. If we can beat the Lions next weekend, we’re then in solid shape to finish 14-3. KC could lose next weekend to the Browns, and then we’re back within a game, with three to go. With KC facing the tougher schedule. 2 Quote
paulmm3 Posted Monday at 10:25 PM Posted Monday at 10:25 PM Really weird we have four games left and the difference between winning out and losing out is the difference between the 2 seed and the 4 seed. Which sort of matters but I also don't care about hugely. We need to be smart about player health, and I also wouldn't mind seeing coaches try a bunch of weird new stuff in game. Whatever best gets us ready for playoffs. 1 Quote
wppete Posted Monday at 10:28 PM Posted Monday at 10:28 PM We need to score at least 50 points. 1 Quote

But already having the division wrapped up. It was always going to be a weird head space to play in for 5-6 weeks with nothing of real consequence It's the fastest a team has won a division in 15 years. They are going to rest anyone that is even a little banged up. And we have earned that right. Edited Monday at 10:30 PM by Kelly to Allen Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 10:41 PM Posted Monday at 10:41 PM I still think there’s a real chance KC loses at Pittsburgh and at Denver. But the Bills need to do their part and beat Detroit. 1 Quote

I think we just need to avoid the 4 at all costs haha anything else is manageable. Baltimore beating the 4 and then going up against kc and one of them having to lose is a pretty nice situation. That’s kind of what happened to baltimores benefit with Buffalo playing kc last year. this is gonna sound crazy but idk if I’d be too upset if kc makes it out of that one. I know they’ve been our season ender 3 times now but it just feels like we built this roster specifically with them in mind and don’t match up quite as well with Baltimore. Quote

Livinginthepast Posted Tuesday at 12:44 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:44 AM The only thing that might save us vs the Lions is that they might be feeling very overconfident after watching our terrible D yesterday. I'm also hoping that the Bills D took yesterday to heart and are embarrassed and angry as hell. we might pull the upset here. Quote
Success Posted Tuesday at 12:45 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:45 AM I don't think the usual soft zone is going to cut it against a team like the Lions. I'd love to see some more aggressive D in this one. 2 Quote

Bad games happen but then if we bounce back and fix the D issues we saw yesterday, then the hope for a long playoff run will still be active. Detroit has the horses to do what the Ravens and Rams did to us. I wouldn't want to expect the O to always score 40+ . I'm hoping Kincaid and Coleman are back so they can help in this game and be fully up to speed for the playoffs. The scare at the back of my mind is that we reach the SB and then get exposed like we did yesterday. The D issues won’t be fixed. every game is basically the same. the D sucks for the first quarter or half, just about every single game. they make changes at half time, but against good teams, adjustments at half time is already too late. this D just isn’t good enough. why other teams don’t run the ball 50-60 times a game vs the Bills is a mystery to me. the Bills can’t stop the run. 1 2 Quote

The fact that we can't even get this guy ONE Super Bowl appearance is so beyond damning to the coaches on this team and I fear that the proper change will never be made. This is the best chance this city will ever have and idiocy like yesterday just won't go away. Dan Marino made One Super Bowl in part he played on teams not good enough. His Dolphin teams never had a Bruce Smith or a Thurman Thomas nor a Terrell Davis. Is Don Shula to blame for that? Let's face it Pat Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Chris Jones are a better trio than just Josh. That said Kelce looks average this season and KC offense looks suspect and not sure they have the secondary that can match all of weapons. Yesterday makes us pause of the poor defensive play but it was an exception not a rule. 2 Quote

But the problem is that it IS the rule in every game we have been eliminated in under McD in the playoffs save the Jacksonville game on his first playoff game but that was because they just weren't very good offensively. 2 Quote

Our coach is an idiot, and he's wasting the career of the best football player to ever live, and it's infuriating. The Sabres had the best goalie in the league, maybe of all time- the NHL MVP, and couldn’t win even one Stanley Cup. Now it seems that history is repeating itself with the Bills and Allen. 1 Quote
