Agree that our defense is probably going to once again give up WAY too many big plays for our liking, but… if we can continue our success on offense, Josh can be a hero on a couple plays again, and the special teams blunders are cleaned up, we have a pretty good chance IMO. Yea I don’t see Goff is going to replicate what Stafford did. Stafford is a better QB with a quick release and a big time gun. We gotta play more man. Put Elam in there. Allen needs to come out slinging, and use the run as an afterthought. It will be a boat race with Bills on top, 38-31. We need to get 2 turnovers. Quote

Bills want you to go 10-12 plays and be perfect. If teams stay committed to the run and quarterbacks understand zone coverage and stay patient, it's a very simple defence to shred Missed this comment but it kind of ties into what we’re talking about now haha. The lions were hitting big plays because Douglas was giving less cushion than your typical mcd game the way I saw it.. this didn’t feel like what you’re describing as a typical mcd game to me at all. They didn’t run the ball particularly well either which forced them into a lot of 3rd and mediums or longer but they hit them all Quote

They are so banged up, we have a chance. Not having Coleman is a problem. The problem for me Captain obvious is the defense. They’ve played well, but crapped the bed yesterday. Oh no... it was a joke about the Lions... Allen and the Bills will score 8 TDs and still lose 59-56. The Bills Defense doesn't look like it can stop the Lions and I hate McDermott's schemes 1 Quote
nedboy7 Posted Monday at 03:36 PM Posted Monday at 03:36 PM I think the entire team is embarrassed as they should be. I expect a great performance from them. At least a decent showing from the DL. 1 1 Quote

The first two drives it felt like Williams was into the second level constantly with no linebackers in sight and secondary players having to make the tackle. When Corum got his first half drive, he was running with the same results. Quote

But watching it live this is what I got out of it: -Bills played a lot of soft zone in the 1st half which got shredded in the pass and run -Bills adjusted in the 2nd half and did more run blitzes which helped the run D out -Bills tried to send more pressure and played more man in the 2nd half at times but again what I was saying, it seemed very predictable and Mcvay had the blitz beaters dialed up. Again I could be wrong- But those were my observations from watching it live Quote

Just a great throw, great play by the WR. 1 Quote

I guess my biggest issue is why are you starting off the defensive game plan playing a lot of coverage, and why does it take you a half to adjust. Mcvay also adjusted cause he knew the bills would try to send pressure. If the bills started off with pressure looks, I think it's a completely different game and it would have kept Mcvay and stafford on their toes more 2 minutes ago, Bleeding Bills Blue said: It wasn't always scheme though... like there's 2 guys there on Kupps 3rd down TD. JMM Posted Monday at 03:46 PM Posted Monday at 03:46 PM After yesterday's debacle and all the negative press all week I actually think the Bills will come out and play very well. And this week the trap game vibe goes to the Lions. But...because of home field and just terrible matchups again, I expect them to lose again in a close well played game. Quote
HopelessNJBuffaloFan Posted Monday at 03:46 PM Posted Monday at 03:46 PM This is going to be an asskicking. LOL The Bills defense is soft and got exposed, and the Lions are going to destroy us. Get a big strong run Dman and a great pass rusher!!! Offseason wish list!! 1 1 Quote

Stretch Posted Monday at 03:49 PM Posted Monday at 03:49 PM Goff is more mistake prone than Stafford. I think our takeaways could be back this week and that will be needed. Quote

RyanC883 Posted Monday at 03:59 PM Posted Monday at 03:59 PM Another QB who can't run, we should get a TON of sacks. (checks notes). NO sacks against the Rams. At least the Run D should be good? (checks notes). Nope, not all year. Yeah, we need to outscore them. I can't see the D getting pressure on Goff, or stopping the 2 headed RB monster that Det has. 10 minutes ago, Stretch said: Goff is more mistake prone than Stafford. MarlinTheMagician Posted Monday at 04:09 PM Posted Monday at 04:09 PM Not sure that loss to the Rams won't be good for us in the long run. Admittedly I am an optimist, but I am calling a Bills win in an upset against Detroit. 1 Quote

However McDermott has 4 games to figure out how to handle end of game management, and also his defense my guy their advanced offense is going to absolutely wreck this soft as baby poop defense it's going to be a blowout 1 Quote
