Someone said "yes" in another reply to you. BUT they're wrong. I'm with you. Maybe because we've seen Mitch as a backup and it's not good at all. I'm sure White could look

just as bad but I might be more optimistic with him for a game than Mitch.

Right. In the preseason, Trubinksy looked awful. If we have to go back years to find games he played competently, that's not a good sign. A quick google search of sports reporting on him shows that he's a slow processor, leading to bad decisions and sacks. His big arm is offset by poor mechanics and pocket presence. The book on White is the opposite: He thinks fast, sees the field well, and gets the ball out quickly. On the other hand, he doesn't have much of an arm, so don't ask him to throw downfield or in tight windows.

I don't know, it sure sounds like I'd rather have White take over if Allen goes down. I don't want a flustered, mistake-prone replacement, no matter how strong his arm is. Give me a guy who'll hand it off, check it down, make the easy throws, and not turn the ball over or get sacked. Maybe this is why he was promoted to the active squad. Seems more plausible than the Bills feeling generous.

Mike White is a terrible QB. He's worse than Mitch. I don't care how far back you need to go to find decent play for Trubs: it's there, despite it being his first couple years in the league.

White doesn't have the arm or the skills to play meaningful snaps in the NFL. He has one game against the Bengals when he came in and played decent, but look at his throws from that game. It was like the Bengals forgot how to play defense on short throws.

He's an unknown, so he's a bit shiny and interesting sitting there on the bench. The shine will wear off very fast and you'll be left with a turd in your hand I promise you. Mike White is Tim Boyle, Nathan Peterman, Jeff Tuel level.

Josh Allen is reason enough to believe.  Does an MVP lose to Jared Goff?

Well, he lost to Matthew Stafford. Allen is so good, he can almost do it by himself, but the rest of the team has to avoid melting down. A very low bar the defense and special teams couldn't get over last week.

Put it this way: Allen will win the game if the rest of the team (and coaches) doesn't sabotage him. That's what he's been doing all year. He's the only star, let alone superstar, on the team. Hell, he could probably take any number of average teams to the Super Bowl. I remarked earlier that I think his teammates and all the coaches should get together without him and resolve to do it for Josh. The defense didn't have his back last week. They should be ashamed of themselves after his performance.

What are you going to think if the bills blow the lions out?

Well, given that my comments are informed only by a google search, I'm willing to believe you're more likely to be right, if you've watched both of them play. It's easy to project high hopes on an unknown.

You know the way Campbell coaches, Detroit will treat it as a playoff test and be ready to roll.

Mitch was holding down just below average starter level when he came in to the league. Had some decent games, looked like there might have been something there. He was 29-22 in his season in Chicago. He wasn't a disaster on the field. Relative to his draft position he's an obvious bust, but overall he could do a few things and ended up with a winning record as the Bears QB.

Mike White has one game in the NFL that it appears the Bengals were totally unprepared for. A trend with them IMO. White has been total trash since. I'm not kidding about Tim Boyle by the way, they are the same guy talent wise.

NFL game day consensus among Kurt Warner, Gerald McCoy and Steve Mariucci, is that despite having an alien QB who is clearly the NFL's MVP, there is just something about the Bills keeping them from being more than a very good team, and its not likely they will represent the Bills in the Super Bowl this year.  :(   hope they are wrong.

Curious to know what they think will prevent the Bills from getting there

There's a lot more missing from the other AFC teams so his comment makes zero sense

Buffalo has zero weaknesses if fully healthy

Ppl are again the prisoner of the moment in losing a shootout to the rams

It's getting silly at this point

Agree on a lot of your points, gotta think the defense will play as inspired as possible.  Whether that makes a difference or not, we’ll see.  I know it’s certainly possible we lose today, but we have Josh, so In my opinion, just as possible we win too rather than get blown out like you are worried about.

Shocked and impressed, they would probably be favorites to win the Super Bowl.
