Yeah, I dunno man. I played around in the playoff machine a lot. The only thing that flipped the seeding was the Ravens game.  So /shrug. We'll see when we see. I don't really concern myself with these things much anyways. The seeding ends up what it ends up. I just like to play with the machine for some side fun.

Most of the cases where Bills win strength of victory include Miami making the playoffs.

It’s not clear that being the 2 seed is an advantage. I would rather play the Broncos or the Chargers first round, and the Ravens might be the 7 seed. in that case I’d rather be the 3 seed. It’s just too early to know much.

Better to focus on the things I can control… oh, shoot. I’ll go back to planning what to eat during the game…

I'm confident enough to the point I don't care who we play or where. I think we have the advantage imo.

Yeah I’ve watched that Douglas injury on the play and the rib shot definitely appears to be harder than Kupp “falling on” his knee.

Rapp was classic Rapp on that playing - just flying in at 100-mph, not even close to Kupp, shoulder right into Douglas ribs, and it’s right there that Douglas grimaces in pain.

maybe, but Rapp has made game changing tackles in multiple games.  Breece Hall,  McCaffrey, etc

I'm resting rapp and Douglas for a couple weeks. We've earned the right to rest guys. Take advantage of it

Nothing wrong with getting Elam, Bishop and Ingram reps. Give Hardy a call up

This game is so frickin similar to the 1990 game vs the Giants.

The Giants at the time were a completely different identity from buffalo. The Giants were a power running smashmouth football team with a big physical defense. Buffalo was the high flying bills with a great yac wr in Reed, a pro bowl veteran wr acquired the year prior in lofton and a RB in Thomas who could do everything

Sound familiar?

Also at this time in 1990, buffalo in 88 and 89 was a team that was viewed as somewhat finesse and there was questions if they could get over the hump. Years prior they faded down the stretch. There was real questions if the bills defense could hold up vs the physical giant oline...

Interesting enough buffalo also lost a shootout to moon in Houston a few weeks earlier....

Buffalo won an extremely physical tough game 17-13

More context to that era which is extremely similar possibly, Marino was viewed in the same light as mahomes earlier in the 80s, and Elway was going to super bowls. Marino kinda faded in the second half of his career and Kelly got past him in the 90s. Shula like Reid was also an older coach

I think this game will be very close and I think it's highly probable both meet again in the super bowl

Great call! remember that game well, what a slugfest and gave me confidence going into the SB. Especially given how well we played in the playoffs.

That was the game Kelly got hurt and Reich led them to a victory. I think they scored TDs on their first two drives and then managed only a FG the rest of the way in a 17-13 win.

I like the Bills playing the absolute best teams in the league (Chiefs/Lions) now, and having a understanding of the intensity/tendencies of these groups prior to the playoffs.  A win is a hope, but I'm not too concerned with a loss here.

So I was curious after seeing the Lions injuries and people making a big deal about the large number of players they have reported.

I had heard that many of them were backups so I took a look at their depth chart that I could find prior to week 1.

Offense:
Starters:
WRX - Antoine Green (IR)
PK - Michael Badgley (IR)

Backups:
WRZ / PR &KR - Kalif Raymond (IR)
RG - Netane Muti (IR)
RT - Connon Gavin (IR)

Defense:
Starters:

DE - Aidan Hutchinson (IR)
DE - Nate Lynn (IR)
DT - Kyle Peko (IR)
DT - Mehki Wingo (IR)
DT - DJ Reader (Q)
DT - Alim McNeill (Q)
DE - John Paschal (Q)
NB - Ennis Rakestraw

Backups:
DT - David Bada (IR)
DT - Levi Onwuzurike (Q)
DE - John Cominsky (IR)
LB - Jalen Reeves-Maybin (IR)
LB - Derrick Barnes (IR)
LB - Alex Anzalone (IR)
LB - Malcolm Rodriguez
SS - Ifeatu Melifonwu (IR)

The primary concern I have for their roster is Hutchinson being soft from a soft school and him being too soft from his soft school to recover.

Beyond that their entire DL is in shambles which makes me wonder what Cook can do and we have Kincaid, Shakir, Knox who can go up against a rookie LB and a softened defensive backfield. Kerby Joseph has seen increased playing time and plays dirty.

Spending $2B on a new stadium and putting it in the middle of a snow belt will never not be hilarious to me.

Sunny skies here in the Northtowns.

This was their chance to do it right 🤦‍♂️
