It was a different game when Dickerson and OJ were running. But anyway you look at it, he needs to outdo the guys on this list from the past 20 years, within the first 16. i find it was more impressive back then because teams actually had to game plan around good running backs. now days some teams have a good running D but i think by design most teams are set up to defend the pass 2 Quote

We happened to catch them at the wrong time when everyone was healthy on offense. Also realize that they played an almost perfect game. That offense had to play it basically perfectly, executing key 3rd down after 3rd down, Kupp/Nucua made some INSANE catches all while extending drives, almost doubling TOP vs the Bills. Despite all that, the Bills almost came back and difference here was a blocked punt returned for a TD. So yeah I think our offense is better because to beat the Bills you have to play a perfect game. 3 Quote

He's sticking with guys like Hamlin and Ingram over Elam and Bishop when those guys just aren't good and the other guys at least have talent and have now had time in the system, so we should be giving them a shot over guys who aren't making a difference out there. Continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result is simply not a smart decision, and it will likely result in his defense getting burned again in the playoffs because he did what he always does At least you admit you don't trust his coaching. I have had my own doubts about the Defense as a whole just like most fans. But my concerns are to be voiced in the offseason as they deal with personnel/scheme/philosophy. To just blindly assume your guys (elam, bishop) are better or give us a better chance because you say so is asinine. I trust the coach to make personnel decisions, ESPECIALLY in regards to the secondary. Check. Your. Ego, Coach. 1 Quote

Or you think he has more skill/ceiling due to flashes or draft position. Forget that. As others pointed out, we will play the best players. And yes, part of that involves scheme and consistency. You gotta really thread a fine needle by praising the coaching staff in regards to the secondary and saying there is trust. And then continuously question them. There is of course a time for debate and discourse. I just think this is one of those times, a specific kind of fan should check their ego/hubris and just shut up about Elam. I thought Elam had a great camp this off-season. Pretty sure I heard that somewhere, actually pretty much every time I got updates. Now it’s over for him. Go figure Quote

Much better chance Bills win a tie at the end by Conference Record which is the 2nd tie breaker or Record vs. Common Opponents with is the 3rd tie breaker. 1st tie breaker is head to head which obviously doesn't apply since we haven't played them. If the Steelers lose to the Eagles and then win out their strength of victory will be higher than ours and conference record would be the same. That's assuming we lose to the Lions and sweep the rest of the season. Our conference record would also be identical. If they can beat the Ravens, Chiefs, and Bengals than they deserve the two seed anyways. Quote

I believe that is only to break ties within the division. Out of division it is conference then common opponents. 5 hours ago, Big Turk said: See my post above. First tie break with them would be conference record and then if tied common games. I break down both scenarios in that post, but effectively we would have a very good chance to win both those tie tie-breakers. Their schedule is brutal the last 4 games, our is about as easy as you could get after Detroit. Yes, I understand but the poster I responded to asked for a specific scenario. They asked if we both lost this week against an NFC opponent then both won out the rest of the way. In that scenario Pitts has the tie breaker. Quote

Don’t surprise me that someone might be working harder in practice at this point, he’s probably thrown in the towel already. Quote

The Steelers do not necessarily win the strength of victory tiebreaker. As I've said previously, if both teams lose this week and win the rest of their games then either the Bills or Steelers could win the strength of victory tiebreaker. It depends on how every other game goes in the next 4 weeks. Quote

That’s so weak. Yeah I’ve watched that Douglas injury on the play and the rib shot definitely appears to be harder than Kupp “falling on” his knee. Rapp was classic Rapp on that playing - just flying in at 100-mph, not even close to Kupp, shoulder right into Douglas ribs, and it’s right there that Douglas grimaces in pain. Quote
