BillMafia716ix Posted Monday at 11:57 AM Posted Monday at 11:57 AM 2 games out 4 games left. I see KC losing maybe one more game. We’re either going to be the 2 or 3 seed. Either way it go we’re gonna have to go into KC and win a game. I just want to be as healthy as possible going into the playoffs. 1 Quote
Sweats Posted Monday at 11:58 AM Posted Monday at 11:58 AM So, we couldn't beat the Rams (which i called all week long, saying it would be a tight game) and we for sure won't beat the Lions, so that would put us at 10-4 at this point in the season, with a playoff spot locked up and our 5th straight AFCEast title.........i'll take it. Johnnycage46 Posted Monday at 12:23 PM Posted Monday at 12:23 PM We have almost no shot to win this game. And if we are lucky enough to get to the SB but have to play the Lions, we're screwed. Our D line sucks, Milano might never be the same again, McD bone head coaching, etc. Feels like we are the Rivers Chargers. Allen is the best player in the NFL but he can't do it all by himself. 1 Quote
Steptide Posted Monday at 12:29 PM Posted Monday at 12:29 PM As good as Detroit is, Dan Campbell does some really bone headed stuff. So I think this will be a close game, I don't think we'll get killed. However McDermott has 4 games to figure out how to handle end of game management, and also his defense Quote
zow2 Posted Monday at 12:33 PM Posted Monday at 12:33 PM Bills defense gets a do-over, from one Super Bowl pedigree accurate QB (Stafford) to another QB (Goff) who is super accurate (and been to the SB). We will see what they've learned if anything how to defend this. Because from what we saw yesterday, the Lions offense will be able to take whatever they want from short-medium underneath passes to wide open receivers. Plus, the Detroit RB's and TE are better than the Rams. This is why KC is so good, they don't get gashed by teams like the Bills do. 1 Quote
Fan in Chicago Posted Monday at 12:40 PM Posted Monday at 12:40 PM (edited) I can't profess to predict what will happen but this is a good gut check for us. Bad games happen but then if we bounce back and fix the D issues we saw yesterday, then the hope for a long playoff run will still be active. Detroit has the horses to do what the Ravens and Rams did to us. I wouldn't want to expect the O to always score 40+ . I'm hoping Kincaid and Coleman are back so they can help in this game and be fully up to speed for the playoffs. The scare at the back of my mind is that we reach the SB and then get exposed like we did yesterday. Edited Monday at 12:40 PM by Fan in Chicago 1 Quote

Gregg Posted Monday at 12:43 PM Posted Monday at 12:43 PM Bills will lose. No way the Bills D stops the Lions offense. Here is what I think will happen. Lions - loss Pats - win Jets - win Pats - win or loss. If the Bills have the #2 seed locked up, they will treat it like a preseason game and rest starters. So, they will probably lose. If they need to win to clinch the #2 seed or by some miracle, they have a shot at the #1 seed then they will win 1 Quote

Thanks Dr Downer....I say the Bills have a solid chance in this game. I assume you will not watch since you believe they have no shot? Quote

Don Otreply Posted Monday at 12:52 PM Posted Monday at 12:52 PM Let’s go Bills!!! it’s going to be a hard fought game, and we need to scheme up our D-line in a big way, and get Coleman and Kincaid back in the lineup! Quote
peterpan Posted Monday at 12:52 PM Posted Monday at 12:52 PM I predict that we won’t see a single punt from the Lions. Their Onis good and our D stinks. Plus they just witnessed Allen. They won’t punt. A because they likely won’t need to and B because they’ll go for it every 4th down. Quote

Campbell is not afraid to go for it so it could be another game where our O has 15 to 20 mins of TOP. Just hoping for no injuries at this point. 8 minutes ago, Blackbeard said: Please pull yourself off the ledge man. Not saying we can't beat them but we are in for a dog fight That's the thing, because Campbell is aggressive it provides extra opportunities to swing the game in favor of the Bills (stuffing a 4th down in the Lions territory as an example), but I don't think we have the dogs to do it is the problem. 1 Quote

But yes, after yesterday's debacle, we should all be very encouraged and positive! Here is how I choose to look at things. They are never as good as they may appear to be ina. Dominant win or as bad as they appear in a loss. Football is a complex game with amazingly skilled athletes on both sides as well as coaches scheming things up. There are no guarantees even when you are the better team. The Rams were fighting for their lives and stafford/nacua are just incredible. Those other guys get paid too. Every game is a chess match of sorts and sometimes their plan vs your plan works out in their favor. the lions were like the worst 3rs down offense going into this game. They converted almost every one yesterday. They changed things up. projecting one nfl game to another is never the right way to look at it. That is why there almost always is always the perfect circle….team 1 beats team 2. Team 2 beats team 3 ….til team 32 beats team 1 Edited Monday at 01:13 PM by Matt_In_NH 1 Quote
